Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic II, Sith Lords, for original Xbox were great games for their time. My son asked for them last year for XMas and I was able to find them on Ebay. He was able to play them on the XBox 360. I have often hoped they'd pick up this franchise for the new systems.
While playable, my experience with the emulators of KOTOR and KOTOR 2 on the 360 was terrible. The sound was buggy and load times were terrible. I'd recommend an original Xbox or a PC if it's an option.

Yeah, it was a little buggy and wasn't perfect, but I agree with you. These were great games. Hopefully they reboot the franchise and come out with some new updated games with updated graphics.

If you have an old original Xbox in the basement (or if you play games on the PC), get yourself copies Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic 2. Best video games I've ever played.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

Holy Crap this looks amazing!!! I think this looks like it's going to be better than The Force Awakens. Can't wait. Now give me a good third person Star Wars adventure game please.

Forced Unleashed is probably the most recent series of Star Wars adventure games in the realm you're looking for. I never finished them, but they were okay. They were on the last generation of consoles.

The Knights of the Old Republic I and II that were previously mentioned are great games, some of the best from an RPG standpoint and story telling. You could probably get these for PC for cheap, Steam actually had a sale on KOTOR I a few weeks ago.

If you're interested in space sims, you can't do much better than TIE Fighter. It's an older game from the 90s, but it was updated a bit a few years ago to improve the graphics a little and to allow for an integrated DOS Box install for easy setup. You can get it cheap, and it's probably my favorite Star Wars related game ever released. Playing as the Empire gives you a new perspective, and there's something iconic about flying around in a TIE with a joystick...Battlefront was fun for awhile on the current generation, but the space combat is dumbed down and not nearly as immersive as the original TIE Fighter (Plus there's no story line in Battlefront). If you enjoy TIE Fighter, Steam/GOG also have the other space sims like X-Wing, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, Rogue Squadron, and X-Wing Alliance in PC formats, all of which have been updated to run on newer systems.

That dude did look like a badass though.

Oh definitely. I have no doubts in this movie, and I don't see any drawbacks to Disney's move here. Probably because I'm not, well, a racist. Plus I think it's an improvement over making the Trade Federation leaders a feeble embodiment of negative Asian stereotypes haha

But I would have loved to have been in the meeting where it was brought up that they should get the director of Godzilla to make a Star Wars with two Chinese actors, Donnie Yen and Jiang Wen so they can get dat moneyyyy. Business strategy stuff like that is fascinating.

The full KOTOR is actually available on the Play Store and I believe the App Store as well. I wouldn't try it on anything smaller than a Note, but it's a decent tablet option.

Post this in the PC thread and you might get a different response.

I hope not. Hope they include my boy Porkins as well.

That would be so freakin epic to include a couple of those Yavin guys.... Wedge is a must though if you're going to get me to see this in theaters... otherwise, I'll almost certainly wait until Blu Ray or Netflix

Dang. I've never seen Wedge used as a deal breaker. There's a pun in there somewhere...

I too think the idea of getting more races involved is good considering you are making a movie about lots of races from lots of planets. It flows with the story. But I think its hilarious that people get mad about the Empire being all white: why should it matter that the bad guys are racist/sexist! It's like getting mad that a movie about Nazis features an all white cast.

George Lucas has a black wife. That seems like a pretty big indicator that you are not racist. Any definition of racist that captures people who marry a person from another race is WAY to broad. But George Lucas is like Michael Scott in that he seems to lack common sense when it comes to anything PC. He was playing up all those stereotypes (Chinese, Jamacians, Jews) and seemingly had no idea. He is very creative, but is way over-rated as some kind of genius.

The PC stuff that bothers me in action films is 120 lb beautiful women kicking ass against trained men. I can understand Rhonda Rousey (top .01% of female fighters) beating up some untrained guy. Or some 6'2" woman holding her own against men. I can also understand Ray, who has the force, beating up guys. But its hard for me to suspend my belief and believe that some supermodel is going to knock out a soldier in a fist fight. Shoot them? Sure. But beat them up? BORING!!! I hope Rogue One walks this line.

As a kid, when everyone else jumped on the Boba Fett train as their 'side character' I was always more interested in Wedge, "The Destroyer of Empires"....

I've heard them called both, actually.

Well then go find whoever said it wrong and punch them right in the 'nads for me.

The way you know that it's Ay Tee Ay Tee is that the smaller walker is an AT-ST. Now, you can pronounce that Ay Tee Ess Tee... I challenge anyone to tell me how the fuck some would pronounce the "ST" in the other form.

EDIT: Per TIME, it's "at at" which makes ZERO FUCKING SENSE... thank God Disney has control now. George Lucas couldn't even make simple pronunciations work right.
