He is currently the #1 pick on a couple 2019 draft boards. Lol

Holy shit! I can see why so many teams took QB's THIS year instead of waiting.

The 2019 QB class may be the worst group I have seen in a while. I don't think ANY of these QB's are on par with Darnold or Mayfield.

WF has Drew Lock as the #1 QB in next year's draft. I mean, he wasn't bad last year, 44 TD passes, but he also threw for less than 58% of his passes and dropped a massive dud against Texas in the bowl game.

I really hope we win this game. The Kool-Aide they're drinking over there looks delicious, and causing Michigan to start the season with an L would be too sweet. One of their posters said our defense was vastly overrated and on par statistically with Purdue. I find that humorous given the fact we played better competition than Purdue and probably faced better offenses. B1G West is hot garbage, your two best teams are Northwestern and Wisconsin, both of which are known more for their defenses than their offenses. Aside from those teams, Purdue played Louisville and that was the only team with a pulse offensively they saw all year other than Wisconsin.

Our defense could be overrated. We're replacing our DC with a first time DC. Brought in a new safeties coach. There's also a chance we perform better than expected or that Brandon Wimbush continues to progress and we put a very potent offense on the field.

Right, we have no idea how our defense will look this year, I agree there. If we're talking last year though, it's ridiculous to compare our defense to Purdue's imo.

We didn't give up three touchdowns worth of points until Week 10 of the football season (game 9). If Purdue had as good of a defense as us then they had a pretty good defense.

I'm on episode 5 of "All or Nothing."

I think the show is pretty good, the subject-matter not withstanding. I'd like to see ND get a shot with this series, as it seems put together a bit better than "A Season With," though I'm not sure if the added attention/distraction would be welcome or good for the team.

It's interesting and at times funny to see the editing decisions that were made. Makes you wonder if scUM missed some things, or if they were intentionally putting some of the commentary/audio out there.

I also thought it was kind of clear, just from what had been shown of their preseason preparation, that John O'Korn should have been their QB, and they should have rolled with the punches instead of playing QB yo-yo... Harbaugh mismanaged the position poorly, IMO, and it's kind of funny to see more evidence that maybe he's not the offensive/pro-style genius that he's hyped up to be.

It was also funny to see O'Korn slowly put his real personality on display during games... he made just a terrible underthrow against Rutgers that resulted in an INT, and the first thing he did was yell at his TE for not being aggressive, despite the fact that his TE had clearly done everything he could to fight back for the terribly-thrown pass. He then went to the sideline and told the guy that he needs to be more aggressive and "can't let that happen. Make the catch." BITCH YOU THREW THE BALL AND IT WAS HORRIBLE. Don't blame your TE.

He's also a f*cking weirdo, and terrible at trying to give motivational speeches. He does his best when he's coaching individual players. When he's speaking to the group? I get that second-hand awkwardness feeling.

It's also kind of painful to see him interact with his family the Monday after their loss to MSU. I began to wonder how many other coaches are like that, and how taxing it is for a family when a coach internalizes a loss like that.

I reluctantly find myself saying "he doesn't seem like a bad kid" about some of the kids on their team, though I still hold them 100% responsible for making the terrible decision of attending scUM.

Pep Hamilton? I think he's been over-inflated for having had the privilege of coaching Andrew Luck, just like Harbaugh. His commentary to the QB's when he's trying to coach them seems kind of like a hallow "rah rah," but I'd imagine they edit out a lot of the hard-line coaching based on playbook commentary that goes along with it. Either way, though, I think him and Harbaugh both got a huge boost to their reps based on Andrew Luck being a generational college QB in the perfect offensive system. Luck could have gone to any pro-style team in college and made the coach look like the best coach in America.

In the end, the biggest takeaway is that it brings me great joy to see the ways in which they are glossing over Harbaugh's failures to meet the hype with their attempts at editing together some "feel good" stuff.

the build up to O'Korn's INT versus OSU was pretty funny. The rah-rah speech, the emotional music and the tension they created only for him to throw into triple coverage was pretty amusing.

Pep Hamilton was one of the worst OC's I've ever seen during his time with the Colts. That dude suuuuuuuuuuucked. Telgraphing plays left and right in addition to trying to be a run heavy offense with zero physicality outside of QB and no talent at RB

I honestly don't think UM will fire Harbaugh unless he starts getting blown out by OSU consistently.

There literally isn't a better option at HC for them unless they could pull Saban away from Bama. If they dump Harbaugh, they are basically admitting that it's impossible for them to compete in the B1G right now regardless of who's coaching.

If that plays out, couldn't it also be that Jim just doesn't know how to get over the hump in CFB? The only year where he has finished with less than three losses was 2010. Just so happens he only played 2 teams that won 10 or more that year....VT (who won a terrible ACC and lost to James Madison earlier in the year) and Oregon, who beat Stanford by 3 TD's. Simply put, they played a bunch of meh teams that year.

Jim won't be fired unless he drops a big sh!t on the fans. If he wins 7+, he'll still be alright this year.

I just really hope we can beat them in the first game of the year. It really helps define the season trajectory, it doesn't determine the total success of a season but man it's hard to bounce back from that as a fan.

He won 10, 10 and 8... IN year four I'd expect them to win 8 plus and be fine...

I think 8-9 would be the start of some serious heat. At that point it looks like the team is regressing, especially since those first two years were so senior laden and his team is going to hit its "talent peak" this year.

Yeah, their defense should be fire. If Paterson is the missing piece, they could have a hell of a team. Think about the WR haul they've had in the past few years.

I'd say we have more questions than they do. We don't know how our defense will look with a different general, we don't know how our offense will look without Adams, we dont' know how defenses will play us knowing Wimbush was only capable of completing 48% of his passes last year.

We don't know who will step up at WR.

This is the most uncertain I've been before a season because despite returning a lot of talent, we don't really know how we'll function as a team.

I don't think its a matter of how many games. I think its a matter of winning the BIG East and the BIG Championship. Because if you aren't consistently completing your goals the goofy personality wears thin fast.

Most fans I know are sick of the shenanigans and the twitter stuff and just wish he'd shut up and win football games. Which he has been quit this off season for the most part.

If there is no BIG championship trophy this year you bet your ass the fire will be hot.

To be fair, he was cleared by doctors at UM Health and Harvard. Recently.

This is a reallllllly bad look for Michigan when you read between the lines. He was diagnosed with a heart condition as a freshman that is so dangerous that he could "die on the field" and "should never put on a helmet again"... yet played four years for Harbaugh.

Nothing to see here.

Hurst was a 5th year SR. He played his first two years under Hoke. The heart condition showed up when he first got to Michigan under Hoke. He was cleared. Never missed a snap of practice or game in 5 years because of it.

He was recently cleared by Harvard and Michigan doctors.

As usual, this is a case of a bunch of dumbass NFL people opening their mouths about shit they know nothing about.

Hurst will be an instant starter for Oakland and he was the steal of this draft.

Armond Armstead was cleared by multiple professionals, too. And USC still said "no," and when ND doctors checked him out they likewise said "no." If a whole bunch of doctors think it's a problem... and a whole bunch of teams think it's problem... it's certainly not "nothing" regardless of the fact that some think it's OK.

Put another way, it is impossible to conceive of a scenario where he falls in the draft how he did with his talent without the doctors for the majority of teams thinking his condition is a no-go. And the issue isn't "missing a snap" it's sudden cardiac failure and death like we've seen *many* times with athletes. The entire problem is that they seem perfectly fine one minute and drop dead on the court or field the next without warning.
