The whole thing is quasi Jerry Springer. There are other rumors (this one is contradictory to the one I posted earlier, but one I have heard from time to time as well) that Carr and his wife had marriage problems themselves and Les and his now wife (who were married at this point) took the side of Carr's wife, even letting her stay with then for a short time. This pissed Carr off. Thus, when LLLoyd takes the reigns after Moeller goes bonkers, Les is immediately told to find another job.

This "from michigan" thing is BS though, Fielding Yost and Bo Schembechler and Lloyd Carr were all outsiders/non alum's/non state of Michigan natives who were brought in.

I'm not convinced they have the fiscal ability to do that. The athletic dept. revenues are about to drop a great deal and the new president doesn't like football.
