......you are telling me a fairly normal looking guy who appears to have been reasonably popular at the top of his class at an elite school, captain of the basketball team, etc had to rape women, because no girls were interested in him?

Did you even go to high school? lmao.

You could make a way better case just saying you believe Dr. Ford is telling the truth and leaving it at that. Your reasoning here is piss poor.

Get your facts straight. Kavanaugh attended an all-boys school. He did not have the normal day-to-day interaction with females that is typical at a co-ed school. His interaction was limited in comparison to what most high school males experienced. His contact with members of the opposite sex often occurred at parties. Parties that, by his own admission, included heavy drinking as a regular part of the socialization.

Are you serious dude? 7-8 hours a day, for part of the year in an all boys school....16-17 hours free to associate with anyone PLUS weekends.

Dude wasn't in a monastery.

Do you honestly think that local girls didn't attend basketball/football games? Or that these kids didnt go to the same churches? Or hang out on occasion the way co-ed schools do?

I went to an all boys catholic school in La Verne, CA - Damien High School (Go Spartans! Down with Bishop Amat!!!). After school the campus was crawling with St. Lucy's, and Pomona Catholic girls. If you did ANY type of after school activity, you had females all over you. If you were in the chess club, and you met after school, females o' plenty.

Never once did I, or anyone else I know sit around lamenting how there was no females around during regular school hours. To suggest the absence of females somehow frustrated young boys even more than they already were is frankly ignorant at best, complicit in this national farce at worst.

https://www.damien-hs.edu/apps/pages/aboutusadvantage

That’s the Damien advantage.

Our tri-school association with Pomona Catholic and St. Lucy's certainly allows for plenty of interaction with young ladies, but this interaction does not take place from 7:45-2:55 pm, which is a time that is reserved for learning. What this means for a Damien student is that the students they are competing with for grades are their peers. By the time of graduation they are not merely peers, but brothers.

1. Sure some of the girls probably attended athletic events, but Kavanaugh wasn't in the stands interacting with the girls. He was on the court or on the field with his all-male team. Any interaction would have been reserved for the parties held after the games, parties that included alcohol.

2. Some of the girls probably attended the same church as Kavanaugh, but a church service doesn't offer much opportunity for interaction between the sexes. His ability to participate in church youth groups would have been limited. Remember, Kavanaugh was one of the top students in his class. He spent all day in an all-male school, followed by a couple hours of athletic practice, followed by considerable time hitting the books to maintain his status in the class. That leaves weekends and summers for socialization, which coincides with his schedule of drinking with the boys and a few girls.

3. With very few Monday-Friday opportunities for normal socialization with the opposite sex, Kavanaugh was pretty much limited to weekends and summers. Hanging out with girls on weekends and during the summer usually involved plenty of drinking, and Kavanaugh's behavior was impacted by his drinking. Have any high school girl friends (not friends who happen to be girls, but one-to-one girl friends) stepped forward to describe his gentlemanly behavior? Not that I'm aware of. His interaction seems to have been limited to group activities, once again with heavy drinking playing a large part. Did he have a steady girl friend that can vouch for his behavior when the two of them were alone? No such girl friend has been brought forward to defend him.

Are you really saying that guys who don't have sex will become rapists?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Thank god I got laid when I was young. Otherwise I'd probably be doing 10-20 for rape right now. On second thought, I'd been released by now.

The left is seeing this slip away quickly, so now they have to say Kavanaugh can't control his emotions because he spoke up during the hearings? Shameful!

DJT called their bluff asking for the FBI to investigate. Now they are whining that a week isn't long enough to investigate? I'm guessing they want them to investigate until November 7? If they did and came back with nothing on Kavanaugh they would be saying the FBI was coerced by DJT to find nothing.

For those of you who are staunch supporters of Ford, I only hope nothing ever comes up where you are being accused of something by someone who can't remember any details except that it was you.

Kind of funny that you know literally nothing about how prep schools and their social circles work out here, but you can surmise all of this with confidence.

To be fair, I went to public school in the DC suburbs, and my HS experience was two decades after Kavanagh's, so things can change over time. But a lot of the kids I played club lacrosse with went to places like Landon, Prep, SSSA, Gonzaga, Episcopal, etc. and same can be said for a lot of my family friends. One of my roommates at ND went to Prep. So I can say with some confidence that the boy-girl interaction dynamic, while not every day in a scholastic setting, is not relegated to weekend binge drinking parties. For starters, Prep has a sister school Visitation and they make sure to encourage healthy socialization there. Second, most of these kids have lots of long-term friends from their community/parent's social circle.

A high school and college girlfriend have both come forward and described him as a perfect gentleman. Try to keep up.

Man, it's gotta be rough being the the dumbest guy in the room.

It makes perfect sense for a victim of sexual assault to have strangers sleep in their home, provided, of course, there are two front doors.

And be giddy about it in testimony. We have hosted people and did not need two front doors - it is fishy to me that in her mind the second door is necessary for her "hosting" activities. She is also specific in saying the renovation is not attractive from the curb. Tells me her remodel was contested and much more than just adding a door. The apartment theory seems quite plausible and unlike so much other garbage, completely provable.

If the press and Ds are jumping on a potential ice throwing incident in a bar when the main thrust of the FBI investigation was potential sexual assault, it means two things...1) the search for sexual assault corroboration is going poorly; & 2) Ds just keep moving those goalposts all over the place

You can't have a bunch of drug using, beer drinking pals show up on the front door.

CNN now reporting that one of Kav's friends, was once arrested at a bar....

They really are starting to reach. What's next, a friend that threw ice?

Just saw a Vox (yes I know but sometimes I like to live dangerously) article trying to make it out that being questioned about a bar fight over 30 years ago is a massive red flag and immediately disqualifies him from the nomination.... one thing about the left, they are much better about circling the wagons and echo cambering their narratives than the right...

The group think is impressive.
It's impressed me for years the way Hollywood keeps their celebrities in line. If you speak out for the right, you're pretty much blackballed immediately.

Here's my crystal ball...the FBI investigation will clear him later this week due to lack of evidence. Dems will cry foul that the investigation was a sham, not thorough enough, etc. Meanwhile, their behind the scenes scrubbing will yield an earth-shattering "Gotcha!" moment when they, let's say, find a Yale peer who remembers one foggy night back in the Fall of 85 where BK passed out at a frat party. Thinking heads will debate ad nauseum about how to define "blacking out" & Dems will push for further investigation for perjury charges in another attempt to delay things past midterms. McConnell will shut it down & start the voting process. He'll get the votes needed and all of this will be for NAUGHT.

Man, just imagine if he had driven an Oldsmobile off a Mass. bridge...as an adult.

Here is one thing I do not grasp... he's already been investigated numerous times for the appeals and circuit placements no? I am not schooled in those two processes firsthand but myself and family have gone through enough government jobs and clearance checks to know how exhaustive those background investigations are. I find it hard to believe this is the first time he's gone through any process like this so why is that not being brought up anywhere??? If he's never had a lengthy government background check then why the holy frig not? I get childhood friends i haven't seen in 20 years getting interviewed for a low level job but a Circuit judge just walks into that role? Assuming he has been, and that's my strong assumption, looked into numerous times why is that point not being hammered by those on his side??

Koon, didn't you predict 3 years ago that Kav would never have a pro/supreme career?

In 2015 I predicted he'd never make it to supreme court. In 2016 I said I could see a path.

So either way I'm right.
