In the last few weeks, I have seen firsthand how the press can manipulate the public and demonize someone who I - and many, many others - can attest is a good and decent man. The nation has been led to believe that BK is a monster. Nothing could be further from the truth.

It’s unfortunate that anything goes in the court of public opinion when none of it would be viable in a court of law. The question is not whether an assault occurred, but whether that assault involved a particular person. What we do know is that every...single...named “witness” has exonerated BK. Differences in political views do not justify a smear campaign. Apparently “When they go low, we go high” does not pertain to the high stakes of swing vote SCOTUS nominations.

Yes, I don't know him well, but I know him well enough. The fact that they are dissecting inside jokes from a 36 year-old HS yearbook (also my alma mater), is laughable and reeks of desperation.

Here's an example of who BK is...I went to Sunday evening 5:30 mass the night before the nomination was announced. BK did all the readings and was a Eucharistic minister. Since I presumed Trump et al would be in close contact with the nominee the eve of the announcement, I thought for sure he would not get it. If it were me, I would for sure have obtained a replacement. What a monster!

The most monstrous thing I have seen him do? We split coaching duties and he played zone against us. At the 4th grade level, I say man up or go home.

.....is laughable and reeks of desperation.

desperately desperate.

If the leftists were smart (ahem), to strengthen their position against BK they should go after Keith Ellison with the exact same effort and energy they are going after BK; they would actually get ppl saying that they have integrity.

But they are not, and they do not.

Re: certainty, 1) I don't know what happened on July 1, 1982. I think it is likely something happened similar to what Dr. Ford described, but I believe that both parties have genuinely different recollections of the facts and what they mean. Certainly my experience in the Army suggests that traumatic events have ways with screwing with people's memories- very frequently the traumatic moment will be seared into someone's mind but a lot of the details surrounding the trauma blur together. It made it difficult gathering intel from patrols that had been in a firefight.

2) But I know for certain that Kav is a liar. I know for certain that "devil's triangle" is not a drinking game, that boofing in a yearbook is not farting, that getting into Yale law school doesn't mean shit as evidence of whether or not you partied hard in college, that Renate alumnius means he was bragging about having banged her in high school, that he did watch Dr. Ford's testimony, that he mischaracterized what a supreme court justice does etc...

And I know that he lied about all of those things under oath. Which is a federal felony (18 U.S.C. 1621) on its own.

Ford was honest about the limits of her memory. Kav was indignant that he had to be bothered. 3) He's an entitled lying prick. 4) Conservatives have shelves full of identically qualified jurists-- two of them with solid ties to Notre Dame-- who aren't well documented liars and lifelong creatures of the DC swamp.

1) Where are you getting July 1st, 1982? I believe that the story has not yet changed from the accuser is that she does not know the date, time or location of the gathering. Not to mention that in different reportings the year even changed from the mid-80's to '82.

2) You know all of those things "for certain"? Fantastic, please call the local FBI field office at once and assist them in their current investigation. If you do not, then you obviously should be charged with obstruction of justice.

3) Projection, perhaps?

4) You have binders of women lying around too?

Just curious, considering Dr Blasey Ford asked to remain anonymous, who do you think outed her, for what purpose, and what should be done to them?

Interesting point I came across on the two front doors. Theory being - the second door is for an apartment. In Palo Alto rent is sky high - big restrictions on AirBnB, rentals etc. Big shadow inventory goes directly to places like Stanford or Google who help incoming interns/students track down housing. No public advertising and avoid being outed and shut down.

People go to great lengths to add rentals to their unit skirting around zoning and other rules. Supposedly, the Ford residence is too small of a lot to qualify for two units, only one. The renovation was sold as an addition to the city - add a bedroom and bathroom with an extra entrance. Boy that sounds like a separate dwelling unit how on Earth could a crafty, entitled doctor of Psychology get around that?

In testimony - her comment about the second front door struck me. She discusses how horrible the curb appeal was affected by this additional door in testimony. giggle "We use it to host Google interns now" giggle. WTF difference does a separate entrance have to do with hosting someone if not completely separating them from your house? Ergo - WTF good does a second front entrance do for your clausterphobia, fear of being trapped etc if it is not connected to the rest of the house? Not to mention opening your house to strangers when you have this history?

I would bet dollars to donuts that second entrance is an apartment with high probability of not even being connected to the rest of the house. Lots to work from there that is completely knowable. Did those Google interns pay rent? We all know the answer to this, but did she recognize the rental income? Was the whole house open to them or was the unit even accessible from the inside of the house? All the above call out BS on her testimony regarding the door. If she lied about that - pretty damning to the rest.

So one mis-statement discredits the rest of her testimony? Then Kavanaugh's testimony is totally discredited with his multiple mis-statements of facts. Mr. "I Liked Beer" was plastered with excessive alcohol use throughout most of his high school and college days. Mr. "Devil's Triangle is a Drinking Game" knows full-well the actual sexual meaning of Devil's Triangle. Mr. "Boofing is Farting" knows the sexual act implied by "Boofing". And the same man who blamed everyone but himself for the allegations against him wants us to believe that he and his daughter prayed for his victim?

Blasey Ford claims that Kavanaugh and Judge were drunk and that Kavanaugh attempted to sexual assault her. Kavanaugh's excessive use of alcohol and his hyped up focus on sex are more supportive of Blasey Ford's allegations than they are of Kavanaugh's denials. There are multiple witnesses to Kavanaugh's abuse of alcohol. His yearbook comments document his overt focus on drinking and sex. His vomiting after drinking is a clear sign that he had been drinking too much. The over-indulgent drinking is confirmed by his college roommate and others who partied with him at Yale.

Kavanaugh's attempt to minimize his drinking and deny multiple sexual references in his yearbook is a far more blatant collection of lies and false minimization of his out-of-control behavior. Only Kavanaugh, Blasey Ford, and Mark Judge know what really happened at that party. But Kavanaugh's trail of lies and false denials are evidence of a man who willingly lies to avoid facing the consequences of his behavior.

Apparently only Ford knows what happened b/c it only happened in her head - if you cannot fathom that possibility then you are not being intellectually honest here.

The door happened in this millennium and can be vetted with physical evidence to prove definitively she lied under oath. It can not prove she is telling the truth but it can prove she lies like a rug under oath.

But thanks for rehashing the same talking points and ignoring my original query completely. Maybe if you scream louder and longer it will be more true next time.

I'd guess my last year or so of high school and first year or two of college...i threw up about 90% of the time I drank. Didn't matter if i was hammered or not. I was Old Faithful.

Regarding what he did or didn't do sexually, no idea. His girlfriends seem to say he was great and respectful. Should be noted...no girls have come out and said, "I slept with Brett in high school/college." If he was somr hypersexual guy, I'm sure he'd have a long list of conquests, some of whom likely aren't big fans of his anymore. Tough to say, I guess.

Well I find it amazing he has been able to survive this toxic environment of his youth to become such an exemplary jurist and asset to his community. Proof that you can overcome adversity and succeed in this country - you do not need to be defined by upbringing. Inspiring really.

...and truly amazing that NONE of these various accusations and the taint that comes with them effected him in the all the other FBI background checks including the one that was for top level access in the Bush White House

Are you talking about Lindsay Graham and Brett Kavanaugh? They both screamed louder and longer.

All I did was point out the obvious mis-statements and distortions in Kavanaugh's testimony. Take the blinders off. Who has a reason to lie? Kavanaugh has far more reason to hide something.

Kavanaugh may have been an excellent human being since he graduated from college. He may have also been a hyper-sexed male who drank far too much and took liberties with unwilling females in high school and college.

Both could be true.

The scandals involving hundreds/thousands of ordained priests is evidence enough that active participation at church is not necessarily evidence of saintly behavior outside of church.

Which is why, in this new age of the #MeToo movement; if you are wrongly accused, you have to go “scorched Earth” & spend any money necessary to save your name that you worked hard to build. I just paraphrased Matt Damon’s earlier comments when he noted, in the past; he would just have his attorneys pay out a settlement to make it go away. Nowadays, if you’re innocent; you better stand up for yourself or you will be destroyed.

It makes perfect sense for a victim of sexual assault to have strangers sleep in their home, provided, of course, there are two front doors.

Not a single woman has come out and said they've slept with Brett Kavanaugh. Not even one. Not that I'm aware of anyway.

No consenting sexual partners could have left him very frustrated sexually. If he couldn't find a willing sexual partner, he may have been frustrated. In a sober state, he probably wouldn't act on his sexual frustration. However, in a drunken state who knows how he would have acted. And it appears he was in a drunken state quite frequently, which lends credence to the allegations.

......you are telling me a fairly normal looking guy who appears to have been reasonably popular at the top of his class at an elite school, captain of the basketball team, etc had to rape women, because no girls were interested in him?

Did you even go to high school? lmao.

You could make a way better case just saying you believe Dr. Ford is telling the truth and leaving it at that. Your reasoning here is piss poor.
