The nature of politics makes for for MOST actions being one sided so have fun screaming at the wind.
My solution is a Convention of States and building up my own wealth so I have optionality.
So you're for building up massive wealth and telling everyone else to fuck all off - Nice! You make the Epstein Class proud, you do!
And you and I have had this discussion before, on its surface, it sounds like a good idea (States Constitutional Convention), but with folks like Stephen Miller, Russell Vought, Kevin Roberts, Steve Bannon, and the Heritage Foundation running the show right now and sycophant and obedient Red State governors in place (why do you think Tommy T, is running for Alabama Governor when he’s been a Senator?), I fear any such convention where there are options to run the event in a way where there is no historical precedent or well-established rules, that all MAGA/Heritage Hell would break loose and before you know it, have us living in a genuine 1984 Handmaid's Tale.
And sure, one sided politics, I get it, but right now I'm talking about the danger of "the other side," whether Republicans or Democrats, not being able to actually have a fair chance to vote the incumbent side out when they're not happy with said one sidedness.
Of course, you're happy to know that MAGA/Heritage Foundation/Tech Bros. want use all their $ Billions and complete control of all branches of government to lock down a Techno Theocracy where free and fair elections never happen again... Libertarian my ass!
You want your cake and to eat it too. You're no different than the Epstein Class because at the end of the day, your "leave me alone, I just want to make a lot of $" and build my fortified, camera equipped mansion and keep the poor folk and the heathen out while keeping my nice, white Christian family safe.
Yes, there is nothing wrong with wanting to successfully grow your family, be successful, and retire comfortably - it's the American Dream - but if we all ONLY focus on that and forget about our civic duty and looking out for the greater common good, then we get where we are today.
It's a Constitutional Republic with true checks and balances, the right to free speech and habeas corpus, free and fair elections, and the right to pursuit life, liberty, and happiness that enables YOU to make that generational and insulating wealth with options - Isn't it?
