I'll take OSU simply because Michigan fans would get really upset watching a ND/OSU game in the playoffs in year 3 of Harbaugh.

Sometimes it's so right it doesn't matter how petty it is....

If the football gods would secretly guarantee me a win over OSU I would jump on that all day long. We already took care of Michigan, but to beat OSU and Meyer and to beat them like a red-headed step child would be glorious.

I'm dumbfounded by Skip Bayless' relentless defense of Harbaugh, gushing over him, and claims that he's a better coach than Saban or Meyer. I swear he's on the verge of saying he gets a thrill up his leg every time Harbaugh speaks.

Norm MacDonald said "Americans hate Hillary Clinton so much they elected someone they hate more." I feel the same way about Michigan. I hate them so much I want to play OSU.

Bosa actually withdrew today to prepare for the draft/rehab. No shame in the Bosa game. Hate to say it, smart move. Horrible optics but it is what it is. (SIAP on last page)

I'd prefer to beat them like a rented mule, but would settle for the red-headed stepchild version.

Interesting take on Urban posted on eleven warriors. Sound familiar?

Buck-YYZ 34 MINUTES AGO

It won’t happen because of what I believe to be Urban’s fatal flaw, his unyielding loyalty. While this trait may be admirable, there must be a limit to that loyalty. Unlike Urban, Nick Saban has a CEO’s corporate mentality where if you don’t perform then you’re out of a job. This applies to Saban’s treatment of both players and coaches (Jalen Hurts, Lane Kiffin).

Hiring family and friends is such a risk. You’re not objective in their job performance. When it comes to termination, you have additional emotional baggage to deal with because of the friendship. Look at all the crappy coaches that he’s kept just because he doesn’t fire people (Withers, Beck). Urban’s loyalty led to Ed Warriner being promoted to offensive coordinator. He was a great OL coach but not OC. Urban shouldn’t have hired Davis or Studrawa. Those two coaches’ units seem to be the source for some of the team’s biggest issues. We’ve been hearing for the past several weeks that “we’ve got to get things fixed”. We’ve seen zero improvement in those units for 3 weeks. These glaring weaknesses are all on the coaching. We have similar talent to Alabama and yet they always manage to avoid shocking losses and play like how a championship team should play.

The ball is now in your hands coach. It’s time to justify that CEO salary and make the tough decision.

Honestly, Bama has skewed everyone's standard of an elite program. Look at ND under Holtz, great players, great teams, some bad losses to teams they should have beaten. Stanford (twice), Northwestern, Air Force, etc... That's college football, same thing happened with USC under Carroll. It happens.

What Bama does is incredible. They play like a disciplined pro team. I never see them getting a bunch of stupid penalties or beating themselves. Even when they lose, it seems to take an unbelievable effort from the other team.

Ohio State is like 80-9 since he became HC, won two Big 10 titles and a NC. They'll probably run the table and win the Big 10 again.

I agree completely and I think ND fans have fallen into that skewed standard as well.

While I love seeing OSU lose I can’t stand the idea of UM winning the Big 10. Gross.

Arrogance breeds more arrogance. Pryor’s pathetic tackle late in that game was an example of a really good prospect that has bought into hype WAY too much

All last night made me wonder is why didn’t we recruit that Moore kid Lordy is he hard to cover

me too. i actually checked out his thread. doesn't look like we were ever a player before or after his commit/decommit from TX or flip to PU. not sure i understand why, or if we just never tried.

I get it but we could do this about every good player ever. There could be a host of reasons outside of him being a good talent. Also, while I like the staff they will miss on evaluations. Because everybody does. In this case, that’s why he’s at Purdue.

oh i get it, just surprised we never seemed to be interested in a kid from IN (Louisville border area). and TX came into our state (we normally invade theirs) and pulled a guy (so we know big names knew his name).

Everything you stated may have nothing to do with it. Being from Indiana and kids that Texas recruits don’t matter to ND. We already know this, right?

And clearly a lot of teams didn’t recruit him. Great player but we always act like it’s a missed eval by ND. Which it might’ve been, we don’t know, but it was by everybody else as well.

A ton of top teams DID recruit him though too. He wasnt completely off the radar. His offer list has: Georgia, Texas, Ohio State, and Penn State on it.

IIRC, he developed a strong connection to fellow Trinity alum Jeff Brohm, and was going to Purdue at the end regardless of who came knocking.

We only care about Michigan State offers at ND. And he didn't have one.

Have no idea, obviously, but kids have “offers” all the time. Some schools throw out offers like Gatorade. It doesn’t mean they recruited him. I highly doubt he ended up at Purdue after a hard sell from those schools, like OSU.
