Good grief, they are really dragging this out (on purpose I might add)
How long does it take to determine what to do with UM? Two week investigation, then a whole 5 days (counting the weekend) to review the info from the investigating body and THEN you have a BOT meeting?
Are they going to release the BOT recommendation today or are they going to have to have a review of the review and determine UM's fate, which would most likely be sometime in mid January.

PLOT TWIST:
Some of the CFB peeps on Twitter say it is strange that he's there at all, regardless of projected outcome... if it was a suspension, he wouldn't be there because he'd simply be continuing his current punishment, and he'd want to avoid questioning on the spot. If he were getting fired, he'd be with his lawyer, agent, and personal PR guy right now waiting for the fallout.
Some reporters think he might be trying to throw the admin a final curveball as part of his reported efforts to push back against getting any punishment at all.
I would think he would be present in case the BoT had any specific questions for him. Something along the lines of:
BoT: "Coach Meyer, do you promise to straighten up and do right?"
UM: "Yes... I pinky swear."
BoT: "Awesome. You are free to resume your duties. Meeting adjourned."
We all know how these things end of in today’s world. If he survives, there’s a shotgun already loaded with other shady shit he has done that will spill out into the world. Just wait for it.
Could have been handled in about an hour. If Urban actually reported the incident up and can show that he did, the only question that remained would be whether tOSU wants to take the PR hit for keeping him around or buy him out to get him to leave. I know it's never that simple but the decision could have been made on what to do within an hour of the story breaking.... and probably was.

That'd be such an Urban Meyer thing to do. Sociopath indeed.
Honestly when I heard he was there that was my first thought as to why...

So, you're saying you and Urban think alike? Interesting........ ACamp for next ND football coach![]()

I would love to hear the BOT discussion. I’m sure they all try to sound ethical, and focus on character, and the prestigue of the University. But everyone in there is thinking “yeah but this is Urban Freaking Meyer”. And I want to be there the moment someone finally says “Are we really going to cut one of the greatest football coaches of all time? This is crazy!”. He’s so good, they cannot do their job without keeping that in mind. And I credit the first one to pop and say “there’s no way he’s being let go”. We all know they’re thinking it.
I don't know... I've been in meetings with high ranking University officials and such. The idea that they are all bending to the knee to the football team may not be a safe assumption. I'd bet at least a few in there were ready to flex their muscle, question is were there enough of them?
Per Clark Kellog, "A good robust discussion is taking place and no decision has been made. Urban Meyer is not in the room."

Huh? Do you care to expand on this? If I was the one making the decision, I would not be thinking Urban is too great of a coach to be let go. If this is all true, I'm quite frankly shocked you'd say this. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to say.
I'm saying there is no way he's being let go, and if you don't think it's in the back of their mind that he's an all time great CFB coach in his prime, I disagree with you.
They're not deciding this in a vacuum. They're deciding this realizing who the coach is, that the program is premier right now, how much that brings in, and how hard it is to get an elite CFB coach.
There are arguably only 3 of them in the world, and he's 1 of them.

While all of this is probably true, I don't agree with it. So, when you say you give "credit" to the first person to say it, I'm kind of shocked. Sounds like you agree with the outcome and would make the same decision. That's kind of crazy to me.

IMO, there will be 2 types of people in there. 1) that knows they want to keep Urban, but will be politically correct and 'ignore' the fact that he's a great coach, but they'll be making sure to protect him in their reasoning. 2) One that also wants to keep him, and actually has the stones to speak directly about how great he is and how it factors in to the other BOT's.
