Midwestern cuisine is the least offensive food you'll run across. Its just generally not super exciting
Ahem how can you say that when this exists

Hey man pickles are making a comeback. Very trendy atm. If it weren’t called sushi people wouldn’t think too much of it.
Here in the Mitt a town called Berrien Springs here has an annual Pickle Festival lol you know old Dillard bleeds Notre DameHey man pickles are making a comeback. Very trendy atm. If it weren’t called sushi people wouldn’t think too much of it.
Thank youCarr begins the starting QB and his thread becomes a food thread two straight days, take it to the Oregon (backup?) QBs thread
Never heard it called that, lol. But we do make it as an appetizer with dried beef and it's absolutely delicious.
Next 2008 will be telling us about the 6 WR set. Of course there won't be a QB, but that's just details.

Those things are inoffensive.
I expect us to lean on the run game early, mixing in a few deep shots to stretch the defense. The short-to-intermediate passing zone is where CJ could get himself in trouble by forcing plays, so I’d stay conservative there. Lower passing volume with a handful of well-timed big throws especially later in the game feels like the best formula. though that would probably play into what Miami expects so I figure Denbrock might not do that at all. Man, I want the game to start already. What’s a reasonable stat line for Carr in his first career start?
28-31, 345 Passing Yards, 4 TDs, 75 Rushing yardsWhat’s a reasonable stat line for Carr in his first career start?
20-32, 210 Passing Yards, 2 TDs 1 INTWhat’s a reasonable stat line for Carr in his first career start?
Down here in NoIL those are called pinwheels and popular at Lutheran church suppers. Helluva lot better than that damned lutefisk those Norwegian church ladies put out for their buffets. Those things are inoffensive.

Then again, I could see Raridan having a monster game.

2008 asks, "Who?"I also think we’ll see a lot of Raridon, as well as Pauling. A healthy dose of J Love should be in every game plan.
I like those numbers for expected.I am hopeful that we can keep him around 25 attempts. A stat line of 16-25, over 200 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 INT feels about right and a recipe for a 10+ point win that ND is in control of throughout.
It's hard to really project without knowing the rest of the game. If we have a couple of turnovers giving us short fields or >300 yards rushing I wouldn't wet my pants over a sub-200 performance. Eye test will be more important than me. But to your point, if I had to guess just assuming how they will gameplan by making us pass the ball, I'm thinking he'll need a 240+ yard performanceI like those numbers for expected.
What would make most of us feel really good? 19-27 (70%), 240, 3 TDs, 1 INT
What's reasonable and expected? 17-27 (63%), 2 TDs, 1 INT or 23/35, 3 TDs, 2 INTs
More alarming metrics:
- Sub 60% completion rate
- 2+ INTs w/out 4+ TDs
- 3.5+ seconds before release
- < 180 yds passing
FanDuel has the O/U at 190.5 yardsIt's hard to really project without knowing the rest of the game. FIFYThe thrown-open-caught-in-stride forward pass.
I think all that matters is winning the football game. If Carr helps us do that, I don't care if he throws a pick or two.If Carr throws multiple picks in the season opener, Freeman and Denbrock will be in quite the pickle.
FYI I’ve got a fantasy draft before the game so I’ll be getting shit faced before the game. He better not have more than one incompletion or I’ll be lighting up the game thread.
Does such a hell even exist?I’ve got a draft DURING the game. My league has four out-of-towners that will be in, and Sunday night is the only time slot that works for everyone.
If ND is playing well, my fantasy football roster will suffer.
If ND is playing like shit, my mental health will suffer more than normal as my friends will make it a nightmare worse than Gameday threads.
