All I’m going to say is if you lose to your hated Rival, 49-0, you can’t say anything to anyone.
Only thing missing was the Texas players tricking the OU staff and pushing it in to the other hole without permission…

Love it when the 6 win guys come in here talking trash lmao 🤣

I don’t care what it says on ur helmet, your season was an embarrassment..

And you sure as hell won’t find us on your fan site lmao

Clinging on in here like a barnacle..

If I had to guess, I'd bet he's venting here because if he was on an OU message board calling the team a bunch of soft losers who simply need to be jettisoned and replaced by Venables, he'd be getting run off. (ED. NOTE: He probably already did get run off, and that's why he's here.)

After all, those soft losers are still going to comprise the core of Venables' team for the next 2 or 3 years... should be a lovely transition to the SEC based on what this guy is saying about the student athletes he's "supporting" lol

Riley was only good at recruiting offensive players. The defensive talent was horrendous. His system was way too soft and his gameplan was the same every week...let the QB carry the team and see how far we go. He's trying to do the same thing at sc and you saw where it got em. You saw how sloppy we were last year. He'd be 4-8 if he had to coach THIS OU team. Going to the SEC with him as the coach was gonna be a total disaster and everybody knew it.

Venables knows exactly what it takes to compete at that level but people wanna act like he's failing because he had such a rough first year while trying to change the culture with a bunch of kids that he didn't even recruit. It's one thing to transition from one system to a another one that is built on the same principles and philosophies. It's a completely different deal trying to go from a soft weak system to one built on swagger. If you don't have the horses you can't do that and unfortunately he only had ponies out there this year.

He deserves the time that is required to give one of the premier programs in college football the makeover that it so badly needs. Some of you simply don't know football. Sorry but it's true.
That’s a cool story, thanks for sharing.

You do realize we bullied all of Venables recruits into wanting out this season right? Those are the tough guys you want?

OU gave up 41 to KSU, 55 to TCU, 49 to Texas, 42 to Kansas, 38 to Baylor, and 51 to TTU

LOL. What a garbage ass team
That's what I've been trying to tell you all along. It was a garbage ass TEAM. Venables and his staff didn't all of a sudden forget how to coach football. I don't understand why you guys act like the talent doesn't matter. Trust me, it does.

We're not taking about taking a group of misfits and coaching them up to be a nice little team that tries to play spoiler. We're talking about trying to turn a soft team into a killer team when you inherit guys that simply aren't killers. It's two totally different things. This is not a movie boys, it's real life and in real life, our team lost way more contributors than people realize. And that's off a team that squeaked by all year with all offense and no defense. 6-6 turned out to be a miracle.

If we wanted to take the "take some scrubs and coach em up" approach, we would've hired a guy like Shane Beamer. But that's not what we're after. And I'm just using them as an example. What you saw from South Carolina this year is the best they'll ever do. That's not gonna be the case with OU. The 6-6 crap you saw this year won't last forever. It's not just a rebuild, it's an all out makeover. 9-3 or even 10-2 seemed realistic and absolutely would've been if some of those guys were still around, but it was not gonna happen with this group.

What I'm trying to tell you is, most of the guys BV was playing this year were never gonna be the ones to get us to the next level. It's gonna be the guys in the 22-23 classes that are gonna be our future. Trust me, we know what's going on and if the majority of our fans thought it was just pisspoor coaching, we'd say it in a BIG way because we definitely don't hold back. But this is year one, and we're gonna reserve real judgment for a bit. If I turn out to be wrong, I'll gladly admit it, but as of now, my mindset is still "WE'RE COMIN"

Why are you trying to sell a Notre Dame fan message board on the future of the OU Sooners?

And you are missing the point that the team has talent but the coaching sucks, but keep coming back here to the "irrelevant" Irish web site extolling how untalented OU is, going against ALL the data out there proving your point incorrect. The coaching sucked period. For someone who believes the Irish are "irrelevant" and OU is this supposed juggernaut why are you on an Irish board trying to convince us. Go back to your own board and try to convince yourselves because OU is going to be a joke moving forward no matter their coach. Have fun being the new Arkansas in the SEC. What was the score against Texas again? Imagine if that was Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss. St. have fun going 6-6, 7-5 every year.

I love how there's literally no fact or logic in this guy's argument. It literally is just "Boomer Sooner is going to be sick son!! You got to believe me!! Trust me!! #sooner4lyfee".

My response: No. Fuck your trust. Go away.
Dude's a clown. Hasn't defended any of the logic thrown his way. He probably believes that if Lebby goes somewhere 'relevant' Arnold will stay with Venables because "BOoMer SoOnER"!!!

I’ll donate $100 to your cream filled collective if OU wins anything under Venables. In the meantime:

I got a thousand. Anytime you want to make that bet let's do it. OU couldn't win a championship in the past 20 years when they had no competition in the Big12 and Venables isn't changing that now that you guys will have to compete with actual top competition.

PS. I am a OU fan. I have multiple people in my family who went there along with my Step-father. I cheer for them to have success but going to the SEC was a money move at the expense of results on the field. You will find out soon enough.

OU and Texas will end up being no better than Mizzo and TAM once they set foot in SEC and this guy thinks Venables is gonna give ‘em what for. Lol.

Damn son, you guys are killing me with this nonsense. I guess we'll just see what happens. But I feel good about my teams future. How do you feel about yours?
We feel good enough about our team moving forward that we keep our discussion to our own team's board instead of wandering off to other teams' boards to puff out our chests like an internet tuff guy

What possessed you to come troll a NDFB message board? If anything, Irish and Sooner fans should have sympathy for one another. We both lost successful coaches to lateral moves in the off-season. And we both dropped multiple games to much less talented teams, which made 2022 somewhat disappointing.

With Venables' ability as a HC still unproven and your move to the SEC looming, this seems like a bad time to be needlessly provoking neutral fan bases.

I don't care if Bowen makes it to ND or not, but OU will never be better with BV in the SEC as they were with LR in the Big12...Like NEVER EVER GONNA HAPPEN.........EVER
