I would bet that someone like Saban can handle the locker room dynamics, but I really doubt someone like Jimbo Fisher can.
Yeah it's not so much Bama I'm thinking of here. They'll be fine as always. And maybe the new coaches like Cristobal and Lanning in Oregon will just push out the older guys they don't want anymore anyway. But places like A&M and Tennessee? Gonna be messy. Especially when it turns out they're not winning any more than they were before NIL.

I foresee turnover. Like Lincoln Riley is going to put up with pouting players like Nelson. He has too many good players to deal with that. I foresee a lot of thrown fits on sidelines from spoiled and entitled over hyped turd buckets. I could see kids losing NIL deals due to behavior. Coaches will need to throw them off the team or have a cancer in the locker room. I see bad culture and poor team chemistry. The BIG10 and ND seem more in tune to the pit falls. Bama is just being Bama. All of college football is looking forward the Sabans eventual retirement.
Or let’s just say they promises them future condoms all the kings treasure and then they arrive in Compton to nothing. Maybe then they take to twitter and aTm lmao burn 🔥 troy 🔥

I’m not so sure. I’m confident Bama has been players players for decades but the price has went up for schools that are in the same boat. Mo money, Mo problems. I think it’s easy to conduct business as usual when it’s business as usual. But the business has changed.

Recruiting for Miami has taken off this summer. Oregon recruiting has also done well the past couple of years.

Did Tate consider Bama at all?

I am ready for the NCAA to start calling bluff on these schools.

That’s why Miami hired him. He was home and he can recruit. He didn’t do great at Oregon but did ok. So now you bring him home and their is high school football players galore.

Oh well fuck me I looked it up and leftists and the internet have changed another definition. God damnit. To actual adults baby boomers strictly referred to the WW2 soldiers coming home and getting busy an it was births from 1945-1950. Now I see google tells me its 46-64 so why fucking not, words have no meanings, we aren’t in a recession, Biden just has a speach impediment and it’s totally normal to sniff prebuscent girls. Bloody hell

Everything will have a new meaning soon. They are stripping the normalcy off of regular people who have a conventional way of thinking. It's so frustrating trying to have a conversation with many leftists. Usually I'm left baffled at the idiocracy many people have these days.

Really? I'm 46 and have always thought baby boomers were the generation starting in '45 and going thru '64. Don't think the internet changed that.

Born in ‘87, you’re welcome for the ‘88 title, and I proudly consider myself transgen…erational.

This thread jumped the shark months ago, so here's your validation.

The generation that wanted to stay forever young is entering middle age. This year the leading edge of the Baby Boom, the 76 million Americans born in the fecund years between 1946 and 1964, reaches mid-life.

It's funny how the same generational mud that's been slung at "Millenials" in recent years was first lobbed at the "Boomers", though I'm sure there's a millennia of example hand-wringing about the younger generation to be found. It's all generalized bullshit, of course.

From the first, the Baby Boomers were accustomed to instant gratification. Often brought up in shiny new suburban enclaves of middle-class comfort, they were doted on by parents who were counseled by Dr. Spock to dispense with the rigidities of traditional child rearing. Their surrogate parent was the television set. Parked in front of the glowing blue tube for an average of four hours a day, a quarter of their waking life, Boomers became the first video generation. Bored? Just change the channel. Hopping from one instant fad to another--from Davy Crockett coonskin caps to Hula-Hoops --they moved as a single mass, conditioned to think alike and do alike. Trendiness became a generational hallmark; from pot to yoga to jogging, they embraced the In thing of the moment and then quickly chucked it for another.

Employers have already despaired of the Baby Boomers' unwillingness to serve their time as modestly paid drudges in return for future reward and advancement. Certainly, young workers do not hesitate to demand more interesting work and more flexible hours (although, suspicious as ever of large and impersonal institutions, they have proved notably reluctant to join labor unions to press their demands). "We have less loyalty to companies, and we put up with a lot less than our parents," concedes Rick Garnitz, 37, who quit his job as a marketing manager at Xerox and started his own life-planning firm in Atlanta.

The disturbing by-product of the Baby Boomers' quest for personal freedom, for what the "human potential" gurus call self-realization, has been lack of commitment to others.

I’m ‘82. Being called a millennial and lumped in with the students I taught was really dumb. As an 80’s kid, I was hardly in anyway similar to the iPad/iPhone generation.

Millennials stopped in 96. The iPad/iPhone generation is Gen Z/Zoomers

The iPhone came out in 2007. If you were born in the 90’s you didn’t know life without the internet. If you were born in the mid 90’s, smart phones were part of normal life before you were a teen. Early 80’s kids are more similar to 60’s and 70’s kids than 90’s kids. 80’s kids rode in cars without seatbelts, with chain smoking parents, and rode their bikes for miles away from home without supervision. 90’s kids played video games, had helicopter moms, wore Abercrombie and had Facebook by middle school. Can’t be more different.
