I believe Leonard Moore was first corner off the bench vs Miami. Maybe that rubbed Mickey the wrong way.

Mickey has had a rough year. Losing his mom at such a young age. Terrible for anyone. I atleast hope he’ll be on track to receive his degree.

But I’m not a fan of this. Finish the season. I understand he wants two years at another program likely to help get more film for the NFL, but to quit on a team that had your back and showed immense support during the dark days of loss… no beuno.

Perhaps there is more to the story.

This seems like a mistake by him. I think it was mentioned that he was not happy when Gray beat him out.

Huge opportunities for Moore and Hobbs

Yeah huge mistake and hurts depth they'll def need a corner unless Golden can step in right away

He was ready to transfer when Gray beat him out. He and his family have been through hell and I am sure the stresses of that have indirectly or directly influenced this decision. Freeman has gone above and beyond for him and his family so hopefully he gains some perspective if this is entirely football related.

Gray and Moore are essentially etched in stone as the 2025 starters now. Hobbs, Golden, and Zackery as depth. I’d grab a depth corner in the portal.

Considering his mother just died less than a year ago, I'm going to hold off on my own judgement. Frankly, what I think doesn't really mean a fuck regardless of his reasons.

I was rooting for this guy this year. Hope he does well for himself down the line wherever he ends up, whatever his reasons might be.

We saw Hobbs come on the field - said who is #21? Then saw the range and length on his third down PBU, Mickey was looking down the barrel at being a senior running as #4 CB coming into spring IMO, and evidently his own opinion.

Good luck - saves 2 years for his next stop.

Difficult to know if Moore / Hobbs played that much out of merit, or because MF knew Mickey was about to quit.

He just selfishly quit on the team to protect a year of eligibility. Count me out on wishing him "all the best"
Really surprised by some of these comments. Dude lost his mother last year the night before a game and still played the next day. He doesn’t owe you or me anything. Sure, I wish he would stay and play. I’d imagine he’s got a lot he’s going through as a 21 year old without a parent
