HUH???? He was starting -I would conclude that this is a good sign for those other names in that RB room that they have pushed out Logan Diggs. Losing him sucks and the depth would be nice but I see this as a good sign.
I think the problem is that at ND, he wasn't going to see as many carries as last year. It wasn't going to be a 1a/1b situation with him and Estime. I wouldn't say Payne or Price "pushed him out", but it's very evident that Payne had a huge spring and was earning a bigger role, as well as getting Price back and adding Love to the mix. There is simply not going to be enough reps for Diggs to keep him in that same role.I don’t think it has anything to do with being the primary back. Logically, it doesn’t make sense to go somewhere and carry the ball 25+ a game the year prior to entering the Draft. Also, he wouldn’t be looking at Ole Miss and LSU if that was the case. That’s just one of his excuses.
I think it was more likely a poor “cultural fit” for Diggs. He probably just didn’t click with the university and town, and probably wants to be somewhere much closer to home.
I would have touched it out for my last season, but to each his own.
That would be equivalent to committing career suicide.
He always (appeared to be) a high-character, high-energy guy. The way he picked up Estime during his struggles last year. Etc. Also I don't think they bring you on one of those trips to Ireland or some such if they don't think you're Face Of The Program type material. Why was Diggs captain potential again?

WTF? Moving from #2 back at ND to a #2 at a mid SEC team?????
he had more carries but estime was and is the dude imoHe was our #1 back.
debatable. He was certainly a large part of the offense. I think I would still have Audric the #1 back designation based on avg and scoring production. He was our #1 back.
| Audric Estime RB | Touches | YDS | TD |
| Rushing | 156 | 920 | 11 |
| Receiving | 9 | 135 | 1 |
| 165 | 1,055 | 12 | |
| Logan Diggs RB | Touches | YDS | TD |
| Rushing | 165 | 820 | 4 |
| Receiving | 10 | 211 | 2 |
| 175 | 1,031 | 6 |
Estime was a better RB but couldn't protect the ball. If that's settled, no doubt imodebatable. He was certainly a large part of the offense. I think I would still have Audric the #1 back designation based on avg and scoring production.

Both schools don't put many RB's in the NFL, he'd be better off going to LSU for sure.WTF? Moving from #2 back at ND to a #2 at a mid SEC team?????

ND fans truly are the Mets fans of CFB.Because he's transferring and people love to be miserable about ND football.
If you are comparing them to Alabama sure, but ND has put a hell of a lot of RB's in the league, a shit ton more than Ole Miss has. Its been 10 backs over 20 years thats 1 back in the NFL every 2 years. I'm not saying they are RBU by any means but that is better than the overwhelming majority of schools. That is actually the down period for ND backs in the NFL. That list doesn't include Ricky Waters, Jerome Bettis, Tony Brooks, Reggie Brooks or any of the backs from the Holtz era.Are you serious??
