I don’t care where he was ranked at a camp. I dont care what the recruiting sites change his ranking to. I care that someone involved with Tyler thought it was a good idea to change an already outstanding throwing motion. He had a quick release, great velocity, and was very accurate. This camp showed none of that. Please tell me this is some kind of aberration.
As someone who has played/coached a lot of basketball over the years...
I can attest I have seen many times where kids alter their mechanics based on the environment
It's not as simple as...
game = practice = competition
game = defenders in your face
practice = open gimmies
competition = (timed) 3 point contests.
The competitions I've done, in particular, I've seen kids "pushing" (rushing) shots, not knowing what side of rack to stand on, etc.
With this said, yes I concur that his motion looked difference. Yes, it could permanent. Yes, it could be another qb "bust".
But, I refuse to take this has impending doom. We will see how his SR film looks. New coaches, new receivers, new (improved) competition. This is where we will get a real data. Jumping to any kind of conclusions from this is silly. Concerning, sure, if you want to. But this is not even close to a "red flag" in my book.
