SIAP, but did Notre Dame ever recruit Cam Rising when he was in high school?
Loy said he would have "crawled to ND" if he was offered.

LOL. Giddyup putting Rising and Ludwig supporters in a tough spot.Let’s be careful now. Andy Ludwig probably made him look a lot better than he is.
I think it is because the HC specifically said they were going to make a decision after the second bye week. Why are we talking about a transfer qb next year? Is it because Angelli looks like Rees on tv?
Dude, let it go. We didn't get Ludwig and no matter how much you complain about it, he ain't coming. Support Parker, he's our OC.Love me some Andy fucking Ludwig. Thank goodness MF is a man and wasn’t bitching for weeks about not getting AL like he was god’s gift.
He’s not pining for Ludwig. He’s mocking those that routinely bring Ludwig up. I think you and Giddyup are on the same team. At least that’s my impression.Dude, let it go. We didn't get Ludwig and no matter how much you complain about it, he ain't coming. Support Parker, he's our OC.
Anything’s possible but why would he not simply go to the NFL?So if Michigan implodes and JJ needs to find a new home (and not going to NFL yet), does he consider ND?
This, He GoneAnything’s possible but why would he not simply go to the NFL?
Yeah, I know. Just F’ing around as he seems obsessed with Ludwig. He’s not pining for Ludwig. He’s mocking those that routinely bring Ludwig up. I think you and Giddyup are on the same team. At least that’s my impression.
Didn’t realize Pratt had gotten hurt, which seems to have dinged his draft stock some. What do you all think are the chances that Pratt transfers to ND with the opportunity to be on the national stage and likely play in the inaugural 12-team playoff format and hopefully with solid NLI earnings, instead of opting for the NFL draft? Is Rising our more likely candidate?
Yes and interestingly enough, their one loss to Ole Miss is one in which he sat out and a QB with 1 game under his belt started. Now I understand why that game was not that close and Tulane lost.Didn’t realize Pratt had gotten hurt, which seems to have dinged his draft stock some.

That probably increases the odds he stays in college another year, especially with this year’s QB class being so deep. He could stay, make some money with us, and parlay that into a higher pick than he’d be this year. Of course there’s a half-dozen other places he could do that too.
I would say yes based on a few factors.Hopefully, ND wins out and finishes 10-2 but I got a bad feeling about Clemson. IF they end up less than 10-2 & thus, not eligible for NY6 bowl was getting Hartman vs playing Angeli/Minchey worth it? Not saying ND still finishes 9-3 (but I guess they could) but after the NY6 is off the table the bowl options all suck as far as prestige.
To be clear, I love having Hartman & this is definitely hindsight as no one knew how this year would play out. But moving forward, if there’s not enough separation vs portal QB and what you have, why “waste“ a season?
I have to agree with you on that. I didn’t even consider Buchner staying. That said, if Buchner couldn’t mesh w/ the offense wouldn’t they just go to Angeli that much quicker? They probably still finish with a winning record & go to some random bowl the same they will this season if they finish worse than 10-2. Anyways, hindsight is 20/20 so I‘m not saying I wasn’t thrilled when Hartman committed to ND. Just looking back wondering if it was worth it for the long term health of the QB room.I would say yes based on a few factors.
If we don't get Hartman, then we still have Drew Pyne and Tyler Buchner as the leaders in the QB room though Spring - the loser (Most likely Pyne) probably transfers in the summer and the other (Most likely Buchner) becomes the starter.
Having the experienced Hartman as the leader as the QB room has to be a plus for Angeli and Minchey. Learning form him far outweighs learning from Buchner.
Hartman has paved the way for other transfers to realize how much money they can make by transferring to ND.

Yep, you first need to try and win every single game, then you can worry about reps. Look at clemson. It's probably not shocking this 2024 class of theirs could be their worst class in over a decade with how they've played the last 14 games.Everything you just said +1
Angeli and Minchey saw how Hartman prepared, executed in games and leaning from the #1 ACC QB in yards thrown isn't something to laugh at. They saw the good and the bad but I think it was extremely beneficial for them. I don't think any of us would trade 2-3 more losses this year just to see Angeli/Minchey get more snaps.
Also, Hartman coming to ND will open doors for future players.
These are dividends paid in the coming years.
Welcome to ND, Michael (also nothing groundbreaking in that tweet but let's keep the smoke billowing)
O great, so now Minchey and Angeli are going to avoid the team during timeouts??Everything you just said +1

Hard disagree, Paczki will replace BeignetsWhat a massive downgrade in the city that'll be, going from New Orleans to South Bend. Maybe Quinn and Mendoza should throw in another 10K or so to make up for it
