I know you've all been waiting for me to weigh in, so herrrrrreeeee we go.

Navy - In Ireland? The only blarney stones they'll be kissing are Sam Hartmans as he announces his Heisman campaign = W (1 - 0)
TSU - Great moment. Great for the young guys to get some reps. Feel goods all around = W (2 - 0)
NC State - Sam Hartman revenge game. No hurricanes, no mercy = W (3 - 0)
CMU - More like Getfuckedawas amiright? = W (4 - 0)
Ohio State - Never been afraid of a Kyle, not starting now = W (5 - 0)
Duke - Sam Hartman revenge game part deux. Elko continues to audition well to be Freeman's successor = W (6 - 0)
Louisville - Better players, better program = W (7 - 0)
USC - Heisman Hartman campaign in full gear as he puts "BITCH PLEEZ" on his fingernails = W (8 - 0)
BYE - Never Lost = (8 - 0)
Pitt - Hartman remembers 2021. Everybody remembers Phil = W (9-0)
Clemson - Dammit. = L (9 - 1)
BYE - Licks wounds. Builds resolve, etc. = (9 - 1)
Wake - This is awkward = W (10 - 1)
Stanford - They are a year away from being a year away. Hartman fever is officially a national disease (take that herpes) = W (11 - 1)
Playoff semifinal - Michigan is our destiny. Harbough gets a parting gift as he retreats back to the NFL = W (12 - 1)
National Championship game - gotta give Irishdrunk and friends something to Irishbitch about, CJ Carr is observed on the field afterwards angrily ripping confetti.... = L (12 - 2)

Navy - Sam and the offense come out firing on all cylinders. We usually struggle in week 1 games, but not so this time. Drew picked apart Navy for a half last year until they started bringing the house. This time Navy tries to do the same, but that sneaky Gerard introduces this new fangled concept called the tunnel screen. They make Navy pay for selling out by getting the ball out quickly to their playmakers. Tobias and Jayden have big games. Estime rushes for 175 and the Irish win 38-14. Navy did have the #30 D in the country last year, so they are solid on that side of the ball.

Tennessee State - If this one team was the team coming from Knoxville vs. the one coming from Nashville I would be more concerned about the Ireland hangover. However, the Tigers aren't all that scary. They were only 4-7 last year so we should be ok. That being said, he won't be as sharp as we would like. The Navy game always has a hangover, and that is while playing in the U.S. The offense will be a little off, enough for people on here to get a little testy. We will not have put them away by halftime, leading 17-10, causing consternation in the fan base. A few second half scores should do the trick to pull away. We win 38-17.

NC State

The biggest test of the season thus far. The Wolfpack are coming off an 8-5 season. They had many close games. They did knock off Free Shoes University 19-17 and beat Sam's WF club 30-21. Offensively, NC State was the 105th ranked team in the country, averaging 24.3 ppg. Their defense was better, checking in at 21st in all the land, one spot above our beloved Irish. I think Estime punches in a 7 yd TD with 2:52 to go to make the final margin 24-14.

Central Michigan

The Irish enter this game 3-0 and are expecting to roll over the Chippewas. CMU struggled to a 4-8 season last year. CMU had the 84th best offense in the country last season, and defense was somewhat optional in Mt. Pleasant with the 63rd best D in the country. This is a game where the #2 units should get some work. ND wins 52-20.

This is tricky - I agree that we are more likely to win a playoff than a big 6 bowl game b/c Hartman plays one and sits the other. Also think a WTF and one loss against the big three hurts us less than going 1-2 against OSU/USC/Clemson since they have proven to stack quality wins over everything. So I see a thin line between 9-4 and 12-2.

Clemson does not scare me anymore, they are the right one to play on the road this year. I think we handle them. Overall schedule stacks up better than I can ever remember. D4 school after Navy to avoid hangover gives us two games to fine tune our rental stud QB and dramatically reduces my concerns of early season visit to NCST. Even if we get another hurricane I like Freeman to not F that up.

I call you The IB Reporter
Everyone posts 247, ISD and On3 stuff daily & in droves.
Nobody posts IB stuff. I personally think Driskell breaks down film and analyzes recruits better than other sites. And I think Ryan Roberts is really good.
So I try to share their stuff. If someone else did, I wouldn’t.

vs. Ohio St.

Both teams will come in unbeaten. I think ND will give them all they want. BenMo will harrass Harrison all day. Harrison will still finish with 7 catches for 93 yards and a TD, but it will feel like a win for Ben. The defense takes away the run game for the most part and outgains the Buckeyes by more than 100 yards on the ground. It will be 17-17 going into the 4th. A one yard Estime plunge makes it 24-17 Irish with just under nine minutes to go. The Buckeyes make it to the ND 40 on their next possession and go for it on 4th and 3. They try to do a comeback route to Harrison, but McCord (sp?) sails it off target, allowing the Irish to take over on downs. ND drives down to the OSU 30. With 4:33 to go, they are faced with a 4th and 5. The kicking team comes on and lines up for a 47 yard FG. The ball sails into the starlit sky only to hit the goalpost...and fall inside the uprights. 27-17 Irish! OSU has a late drive inside the ND 20, but the defense holds. ND stays unbeaten!

I went 10-3.

9-3 reg season.

Hartman sits bowl game. Angeli is serviceable but struggles late second half. Minchey plays second half and balls. Blouses.

Board erupts into post Hartman QB drama.

This is the way.

Bump. Anybody changing their record prediction halfway through camp? I am feelin' pretty good about 11-2.

I'll bite. My original post.

I went 9-4. To me this is not exciting at all but it could be worse.

I have questions about the offense. Hartman is a good QB but we have no idea what the offense will bring to the table with the new OC.

A lot of people aren’t giving Clemson the time of day. Look what Riley did at TCU in one year. He’ll have much better players in tiger land.

I don’t think any lose will be a blow out I think they will all be very close. And I think we lose the bowl game because Hartman will sit out.

I wanted to pick 11-2 but my mind is telling me other wise. And god I hope I am dead wrong. I want Freeman to just have a ton of W’s.

I'll change to what i said i wanted to pick. 11-2

What specifically gave you confidence to increase your win total by 2?

The attitude of the defense and what we are hearing about them.

The way everyone is talking about the o-line, than the leadership from Hartman and lastly the WR's. The younger vets are either going to step up their game or some of the young guys are going to push them out of the way.

I already knew what we had in the run game.

I am going to ND at Clemson / Death Valley. Should be a great game.

I think they definitely improve this season under Hartmann. 9-3 and win some Bowl Game against 10-3. ND beats LSU in a game where LSU losses their illustrious coach due to pulling his groin during a recruiting twerking session.
