I'm surprised, this being an ND followers site, that "we" don't admit to ourselves that we can (and I bet the staff DOES) make a case that we were the SECOND best football team in the country last year (I view our game vs Clemson as more of a battle than Alabama put up.)

That arguable, and we looking like studs regardless in all manner of ways (including the infamous eye-tests), why would anyone be surprised that more high-graded high schoolers are taking serious notice? I expect Kelly and the staff to have a great recruiting year if they don't get so ambitious that they overshoot their targets.

What's up with Cam Martinez? Is ND making a move? Saw a Loy headline last night.

OSU isn't going to be able to take both Martinez and Drennen at the H-Back/slot. Not to mention Henning & McClain.

I've always like this kid but I have no feel where he's leaning because ND didn't show much interest when Henning seemed like an early lock.

I do know he ran for about 2500 yards and was MI's POTY.

Reminds me of Golden Tate, though not as fast most likely. Lil Bulldog and has the flexibility to be put into the secondary if need be.

If this plays out as hoped for/expected, this will be the greatest 3 year haul of DL I've eve seen. (Consecutively). I think you'd be hard-pressed to find 2 year hauls better than what we've already done.

This is historically the hardest position for us to recruit and we've been killing it, at least in regards to rankings. Who knows how they'll develop but this is such a good prospect for the next few years.

DE/OL can change the entire dynamic of the game.

I think Botelho is as big of a flight risk as anybody currently committed so hopefully we stay on him and get him to campus one or two more times. But our defensive recruiting lately has ben absolutely excellent, we are stocked with depth and talent at every single position.

Another thing to like about Lewis is he's coached by Dino Mangiero, an ND friendly coach in NY/NJ. He coached Jay Hayes and Jesse Bongiovi at Poly Prep before moving to Jersey.

Kind of committed out of the blue. Might have not taken enough time to see if the emotions from the visit wore off. Other programs will continue to recruit him because of this (and because he's a top player), not saying he's gonna bounce but we'd be smart to keep him feeling like a priority and to get him on campus again.

FYI, Driskell at B&G has been busy with futurecats. Since Saturday he has added Cody Simon, Chris Tyree, Braiden McGregor and AJ Henning all to ND.

EJ Holland has also been busy too with Tosh, Rylie Mills, McGregor, and Cody Simon all to ND.

That would put us 4th nationally with 14 commits with 2-3 very close 5 stars. If all of that comes to fruition and we can add a few more pieces, this might be the highest ceiling and most complete class I've seen from Kelly & Co.

That would be a lot of firepower just with 14 commits.

They've upped their recruiting game since recently adding EJ Holland and Mike Singer. Been all over on the road interviewing and watching recruits.

These guys are good. The Rivals crew was here last night covering Baker at his teams Showcase, obviously getting his commitment story polished up.
