holy cow. 1.7 left, down two, and they foul behind the arc...

Really good game. That kid has some balls making the last 2 free throws after he missed the first. My nerves would have gotten to me.

Also I think Tennessee got screwed a little with the time left on the clock when they took the timeout.

Boilers have a grit to them. It would have been easy to fold their tents once UT went ahead. They picked the defense back up in OT and started switching in OT which got the Vols out of sync. Good move by Painter.

My best friend from Indy is a PU fan. My phone was blowing up all night. You would think it was Christmas.

PU not only got help from their star tonight, they had some kids really step up.

PU killed one of my FF teams, but I was cheering for PU.
TT is going to put my bracket out of it's misery. TT is hitting everything blindfolded.

Cline was unconscious. He put on a shooting clinic answering every shot UT made. He's always been a good shooter, but I don't think he can duplicate last nights effort. UVA plays tough defense. I'm curious how Painter will attack it.

Tyler Trent had to be smiling.

And yes, F@ck Michigan! Glad to see them go down.

Michigan for the most part played like hot garbage and Tech looked great last night in the second half. That one will hurt my bracket.

The halftime scores for both of the second games made you wonder if anyone was going to break 50.

For an old Indiana hooper, yesterday was glorious.

Painter channeled is best inner Keady - (WOW, Keady looks OLD)

Chris Beard channeled his best Bobby Knight - was on staff with the General and Pat for a decade.

Tony Bennett is the man. - Played & coached against him in college. One year, we had a half time score of 16-12 at their place so a low scoring first half doesn't surprise me. He learned well from his Dad, who fashioned his game 100% after Bobby Knight. Tony's sister was also HC a Evansville and then IU.

F*** Michigan but I love Beilein. - No Indiana connection here but I have a recruiting letter from him when he was at LeMoyne. Yes, I'm old.

During one of the broadcasts last night they showed the Top 3 defensive teams in the country:

UVa = 55 ppg
TT = 57 ppg
UM = 58 ppg

More of this please.

Yep, I remember the background on all of those. I didn't say those games were bad, but TBH, not all of that was great D. Those teams were slow to get into their offenses and when the shot clock winds down that defense gets tighter. scUM also had several unforced errors in the first half.

I think Purdue's cutting and screening will give UVA some problems.

I hope the Boilers do play them tough. I have UVa winning it all but if UH beats UK and Aub beats UNC. I'm a winner regardless of what happens. So Go UH then Go Aub and then... Boiler Up!

(I have 9 Purdue credit hours towards my Bachelors so I'm 1/13th Boilermaker)

I can't believe Tenn would contest the three point shot anywhere near the Purdue player.

Both teams hit 3 pointers about the same rate as they hit FTs.
Purdue - 3 pts 15/31, FTs 16/33
Tenn - 3 pts 12/24, FTs 14/28.

Combined FT %age - 30/61 = 49%

The difference one more made FT can make...

Am I the only one who thought the ball went out on Edwards with 2.5 seconds to play?

Also, I have to wonder, why in the heck would Barnes not have doubled Cline as soon as the shot clock hit 6 seconds to force the ball out of his hands on the one three pointer late that tied it up. Everyone watching knew he was going to shoot and hit from anywhere in the building. He was that on fire and would have been the last person I'd have let get a shot up at that point in the game.

Another observation...hearing Chris Webber on the telecast makes my ears hurt. He is horrible.

From the one angle it did look like it hit his leg, but from the other there was was space and the rotation of the ball never changed.

I'm not sure it would have mattered. Cline could have been in the balcony and still drained it.

Crazy how both teams kept missing FT's. Eastern and Williams (Haarms backup) are both bad, but the erst of the team is pretty good. I've never seen Edwards miss so FT's. I don't know, but I would assume UT isn't nearly as bad as they were last night. They pretty much canceled each other out.

If Edwards doesn't declare this year Purdue is going to be a tough out next year.

Weber is terrible. He can't tell you what is happening on any play.

The very first angle they showed looked 100% like it hit the Purdue player's ball. I was very confused why that angle was never shown again and why the announcer's didn't really talk about it. Everyone I was watching the game with thought it hit his leg.

Growing up a ND fan, and now having a degree from Tech, last nights whooping of Michigan might be my favorite game ever.

Could be bad injury for Auburn player right now.

Anyway Bruce Pearl is such a good coach. This might be his best team including the real good teams he had at Tennessee.

Still time, but 14 down with 8 to go...
Injury might kill Auburn though.

holy cow duke escapes again.
VT had a perfect play, right at the rim, and simply a bad 3ft shot.
was hoping NC and Duke would both fall on the same night.
