that 2022 draft could be straight fire tho....
Chubb, Garrett and Ogbah would give them an above average position group which they currently don’t have on the team and they haven’t had in a long time.
have a feeling new England is going to take that qb from ok st if in round 1.
I totally agree... tired of waiting/passing the buck til next year.
On the position groups point... I honestly think the front 7 is already above average. The secondary is what killed them last year. I also think the pass catching group they have now is well above average. O line is above average too... I think the moves they made in the secondary should put them above average and the addition of Chubb could make that a championship caliber defense. They need another running back and need to find the franchise QB along the way (hopefully with the first pick and one of the 2nd rounders).
So in the span of the last hour I've seen reports that have Rosen and Darnold out and the first pick down to Mayfield and Allen... one that has Allen out and Darnold the pick... another that has it down to Darnold and BM with Allen and Rosen out...
it sure feels like Dorsey hasn't told a single person what he intends to do and everything else is just noise... it's crazy though, unless he is desperately trying to get someone to trade up to #2 what do they have to gain but being so tight at this stage???
Good poker face here. Let everyone think the top three QBs are all being taken #1. That same attitude will have people think you are open to trading down if you aren't totally sold on one guy. I would rather walk out with one of the top 3 QBs AND some extra picks than just the favorite of the three. Hope someone is deathly in love with someone and pulls a Bears type move.
I still see the incredibly high probability that whoever the Browns picks at QB is the one who busts - first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem. WTF do they know about picking and developing a QB other than screwing it up?
Valid points about building draft capital - gotta cash in at some point.
The Browns should pick Chubb first and Nelson 4th if Nelson is there. It would be the most non dumb thing they've done in forever.

I don't hear y'all laughing now, bitches.......
Most of the picks won’t work out. Some will be OK, and a few will be franchise changers. We examined the past five drafts (2013-17) to see which teams have been the best at drafting and which have been the worst to formulate our fourth annual draft rankings. Some teams have started to figure things out while others have slipped.
The rankings are based on: how many games the draft pick has played, Pro Bowl appearances, first-team All-Pro selections and awards like MVP and Rookie of the Year. We also factored in how much the team has won during the five years, because players on losing teams tend to have an easier path to playing time.
We looked at who is best and worst at drafting over the past five years in our third annual team draft rankings. No one nails it year after year, but there are some teams doing a much better job than others.

So, there is a lot of smoke about 4 QBs being taken in the first 5 picks. New proposal for you Browns fans:
If you can still pick your top QB at #1 but somebody comes in an offers to trade for your #4 pick. They offer to swap you first rounders and give you a first and third next year. This team would hypothetically be trading up from 10-17th spot.
Would you make that deal?
Again, it's imperative the Browns keep their draft capital high before they start winning. They will lose much of their draft placement equity built up from the abysmal past seasons. I'd make that trade in a heartbeat.
For the record, I dislike all of the quarterbacks in this draft. It’s bonkers to me that in a draft so inept of “sure thing” QB prospects that there will be such a run on them.
My faves are Baker and Lamar, and ironically, they aren’t the ones being coveted. They are the only ones where I look back on their college career and would have been scared to play them. The only ones that could be depended on to take over a game and put their team on their back. Hell... Allen couldn’t even throw for 60% at Wyoming for crying out loud. Just my take...
^^am i missing something as to why the numbers breakdown don't match the total reported?
I'm thinking they are including guys who declared this year, in which they have not been drafted yet.^^am i missing something as to why the numbers breakdown don't match the total reported?
