Absolutely agree and I wasn’t going to be the first one to say it. Definitely a dick move of an outraged guy but think he actually kept it somewhat under control for what he was capable of. Obviously that is no excuse but this was no Ray Rice incident. Hunt will be done for the year and receive a 6 game suspension at the least whenever/if he is picked up next year. It’s deserveing IMO but this is honestly not a “brutal” video that people are making it out to be. Bad, yes. Brutal? I think not. Rule #1 in life: you don’t touch women.

If you have a hall of fame/top 10 all-time QB every single year and only make it to one Super Bowl I think that means you aren't a great coach. Especially when you don't ever have to play the Patriots in the playoffs.

That being said I think he would be a good fit for the Jets, but not the Browns.

In fairness the roster has been very below average for years,... I don't think it's comparable to other elite QBs (except MAYBE Rivers) where the rosters overall were simply better, QB or no QB... Without Rodgers the Packers are one of the single worst teams in the league for at least a few years now imo. With that said, obviously something had to give here.

I will give you that the past 3 or 4 years, it has been depleting. Very poor drafts that didn't support a slew of veterans leaving/retiring. That's why they got rid of Ted Thompson mainly, poor drafts + lack of urgency in free agency = bad combination.

However, they won the Super Bowl in 2011 and were LOADED on both sides, especially offensively. One SB appearance is abysmal, a lot of Packers fans blame Mike McCarthy whether that's right or wrong. I think it's a combination of front office roster management and coaching. But you are 100% correct in the second bold: Something had to give. I am itching to know who they hire next. Same with the Browns.

How would you feel about Bruce Arians to the Browns?? I think his offensive ingenuity could be pretty sweet with Baker...

Age is a concern with Arians but he definitely wants it... I don't want a coach for three years though.

The 2011 team was obviously a good team and they won Super Bowl,... even that team imo wasn't on par with a lot of other recent Super bowl teams. I'm not hating, I really like the Packers, my dad was a lifer and I'll always root for Green bay... but yeah. I've been sitting here for years now (Post 2011 obviously) like, "Aren't you guys going to even try to build a team around Rodgers??"

Right. They never found a solid replacement for Raji when he left in 2015. The LBing corps has seemed to continue to get worse despite having Clay Matthews. The OL just never seems to be solid either.

Health should be more of a concern than age.

However you wish to address it... I'm concerned he wouldn't be our coach for more than a few years, success or no success.

Every young QB should have a year to sit behind an Alex Smith under the tutelage of an Andy Reid.

NFL Week 14 QB Power Rankings: Putting Patrick Mahomes' ridiculous season in perspective
At this point Mahomes leads the NFL in touchdowns (41) and Adjusted Yards/Attempt (10.0). Somehow he doesn't lead the NFL in passing yards; Ben Roethlisberger passed him this past week and has a slight lead. Mahomes is going to blitz past 4,000 yards this weekend and it would be surprise if he didn't hit 50 passing touchdowns at some point, especially with Kareem Hunt now gone and the Chiefs forced to lean on the passing game. KC won't sit guys, not with the Chargers chasing them and needing to hold off New England. This is going to be a massive season when Mahomes finishes.

But where does it stand historically? Currently Mahomes has 3,923 yards and those 41 touchdowns with just 10 interceptions while completing 66.9 percent of his passes. Here's the list of people to ever throw for 3,900 yards, 40 touchdowns, 15 or less picks with 65 percent completion:

Patrick Mahomes (2018)
Aaron Rodgers (2016)
Peyton Manning (2013)
Drew Brees (2011)
Aaron Rodgers (2011)
Tom Brady (2007)
Peyton Manning (2004)
Kurt Warner (1999)

All of those guys played 16 games. Except for Mahomes, who hit the thresholds in just 12 games. Really roll that around in your brain for a minute. If you don't want to, let me: Warner in 1999 was the Greatest Show on Turf and he won MVP, Manning in 2004 destroyed the league and won MVP, Brady in 2007 was the Patriots with Randy Moss, Rodgers actually only played 15 games in 2011, because the Packers went 14-1, Brees would have been MVP that season if not for Rodgers, Manning in 2013 broke every record imaginable with the Broncos and Rodgers told everyone to R-E-L-A-X in 2016.

You get the point. Mahomes is in legendary territory already and he has four more games left to play this season. So what does it look like if he continues on his current pace?

Currently Mahomes is on pace for 5,230 yards with 55 touchdowns. Here's the list of NFL quarterbacks to throw for 5,000 passing yards, with 50 touchdowns, a pass completion over 65 percent and less than 15 interceptions:

Peyton Manning (2013)

Yup. Arguably the greatest offensive season ever from one of the greatest quarterbacks ever and Mahomes is on pace to join him in an incredibly elite class. Mahomes has the Ravens, Chargers, Seahawks and Raiders so it might be tough to actually bust through Manning's numbers -- 5,477 yards, 55 touchdowns -- but he's going to make a run at it even if he just stays on pace.

What Mahomes is doing this season is special. It's his first season starting. The rules make life easier and Andy Reid's offense is a different kind of car riding on a different kind of highway. But don't sleep on the stats he's putting up. If he finishes the way he started, he's going to have an all-time season out of the box.

The Chiefs extended backup center Austin Reiter who proved himself starting four games when first string Center Mitch Morse was out under the concussion protocol. Reiter was signed after waived by Cleveland.

i've seen a lot of bad calls, but the defenseless receiver flag on the colts a few minutes ago was horrible. not helmet to helmet, DB was on his knees (not launching), the WR went low and hit the DB in the side... complete BS that led to a TD

on a happier note, found a new link to great streams of the games. PM me if you want it.

Pats always drop a game in December. Certainly seems like it's typically the Miami game

I'm surprised Reich didn't give it to the refs on that one. That was as bad as it gets.

Luck is on fire. You can tell he feels real comfortable behind that line. He's dropping passes in between defenders 20-25 yards down the field. His INT yesterday was on the receiver. Colts D kept Watson under fire the entire game. Could be dangerous if they make the playoffs as a WC team.

Thanks to Amari Cooper's 4th quarter and OT, my fantasy season is over...

While that was sad, it was slightly nice to see the Eagles lose again for the faces of my friends when they do.

My '84 Bears are fun to watch. The only thing standing between them and a championship is 13 months.

it would be just like the Bears to win against NFC-leading LA...only to turnaround in 6 days and lose to the beleaguered Packers.

It's on.

AFC Playoff Picture is really looking interesting.

Pittsburgh's loss puts them in peril (7-5-1) with Baltimore one loss behind them for the division title. Pittsburgh has NE and New Orleans to play (and Cincy). The Steelers' opponents' win-loss record is 25-14.

Of the other remaining contenders' opponents won-loss records:
Indy - 20-19 (including Dallas, faces Tenn in the last game)
Baltimore - 20-18-1 (including the Chargers)
Tenn - 18-21 (faces Indy in the last game)
Miami - 14-23-1 (has Minn, Jacksonville and Buffalo remaining)

Pittsburgh and Baltimore split this year.

Denver (6-7) with their loss to SF (?) is probably is no longer a contender.

In a lost season of utter bullshit, where Marvin Lewis should have been fired three weeks [years] ago, where the defense has forgotten how to play football, where the Cleveland Browns clowned the dudes from Cincy...

I would love nothing more than for Jeff Fuckin' Driskell to ruin the Steelers' season and playoff chances, the way they did the Ravens last year.

Except this time I hope it doesn't save Marvin's job.

Just a couple more pieces need to come together. Make the right hire, get the OLB and OT sorted (OT may be sorting itself as we speak) and spend some of that cap space wisely and I honest to goodness think the Browns could force a signature change as soon as next season. I think they are really close to getting really good.

I can't remember a time when so many teams still have a shot at getting into the playoffs this late into the season. The Steelers are in serious jeopardy of missing the playoffs. While nobody is talking about them, the Chargers are only a game behind the Chiefs.

I was surprised Reich didn't give it to them a week ago on the last play of the game (out of bounds). At least they ended up winning yesterday. Pretty strong statement.

Luck was absolutely on fire yesterday. Wish he would have used some of that fire vs Jacks.

It's going to be interesting over the next three weeks. Need to win out!
Dallas - who shut down NO and on a 5 game winning streak
NYG - who just beat the Bears and @Wash, and can do us a favor this week vs TN
@TN - this feels like a set up for heart break if we can win the next two weeks....

Balt is @LAC in two weeks, so that might open things up for us assuming we win the next two weeks. The played very well against the Chiefs, so no guarantee.... Hope we're not hoping for a Balt loss vs Cleveland the last game lol.

I think next year, and the future, is very bright. If we can address 3 of 4 WR/CB/RB/DL needs with our first three picks in the first two rounds, and use our cap-o-plenty in FA for the forth, next year could be stellar. Love what Ballard is doing.

didn't you give me hell for being optimistic and calling for a little patience earlier this year with the Browns... lol...
