Nope - there was a good sized USC crowd AND all the UNC fans stayed to cheer on the Gamecocks(well, to cheer against Duke).

Fair enough. I didn't notice while watching, was too mesmerized by Frank Martin's pants.

Arkansas has played their asses off, against some awful officiating. Gonna be so bummed if they don't pull it out.

How about that play where the Carolina dude took 4 steps and ran into two people and shomehow neither a block, charge, or travel was called lol... good grief the officiating is bad in college ball...

The true indictment of the terrible officiating is that Drew was fouled/raked by two Arkansas defenders before he turned into Eddie Lacy with the ball tucked and the shoulder down.

Could've called 5 different violations on that play, and didn't blow one whistle.

Refs just gifted a second half comeback to Oregon IMO. RI couldn't buy a foul.

Oregon was in double-bonus with nearly 10 mins to play in the game. Theyou had two fouls to give in the final minute.

Just a crazy disparity.

Lol. I was impressed North Carolina had such elite coaching and stellar player discipline they only committed two fouls in 16 minutes. It was remarkable.

The officiating was horrendous yesterday. The higher seeds literally got every single call that was remotely a toss up plus many straight up blown calls.

IMO, a game should never come down to officiating because the team on the losing end probably had 5-10 chances previously to prevent the game from being decided by a "call." But damn there were a lot of blown calls in the second half yesterday. I feel bad for those teams.

Is this the worst officiating ever seen in a March Madness tourney? There were terrible blown calls or phantom calls in a large number of games at critical times.

The Northwestern game was going to be one for the ages. They had all of the momentum and the ref missed the goaltending, then t'd up the coach because he lost his ish.

I saw a few other games where they'd put the best player on the underdog in foul trouble due to phantom calls.

Crazy bad officiating. I can't believe that's not a story line right now. I suppose no one wants to cut the legs out.

It'll become a story line if it continues into the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, as viewers/writers are concentrated on the same games at the same times.

Still can't get over how bad some of those calls/no-calls were yesterday, or how bad the foul disparity has been in some games.

Not sure you can really read anything into these. B1G was supposed to be overrated this year, but did well. Big East was supposed to be one of the best, but are down to two teams.

Listening on fox sports radio on the way in and they were discussing the unfair advantage South Carolina had over Duke playing so close to home. Did these knuckleheads forget all of the tournamrnt games Duke and UNC typically play so close to home?

Thank HB2 - that is as close to home as Duke or UNC will get so long as HB2 keeps NCAA events out of NC.

Funny to me UNC and Dook were playing in the same building despite being opposite ends of the bracket. As usual, they would only meet in the finals in the NCAA. Nothing UNC fans love more than watching Duke lose - yes that may include watching UNC win.

As will UNC

Idk. If Lonzo Ball keeps doing what he's doing, and his supporting cast keeps hitting the impressive amount of open shots that he creates, UCLA could beat UK and UNC.

After having watched them make a pretty good Cincy defense look helpless for the entire second half of their game last night, I'm bummed out that I didn't stay up to watch more Pac12/UCLA hoops this season.

On the flip side, UK is finally playing the elite defense that Calipari usually gets out of his UK teams... it just took longer than normal this year, so UK, even as a 2, is flying under the radar in a weird way. If UK beats UCLA, and if UNC plays like they did against Arkansas, UK beats them by 15.

Either way, it's going to be tough for UNC to get to the Final Four.

Lol. The NCAA made that decision. And that is an atypical situation, since there would be plenty of South Carolina fans in Charlotte, or Greensboro, etc. It isn't that far away.

Especially with Butler sending them home. For those of you who haven't seen Butler, this is a more athletic team than past years. They play the same Butler game, tough D and sharing the ball on offense, but they aren't afraid to speed up the game at times. Kamar Baldwin is a very good freshman no one is talking about. He's got length, plays great D but can score inside or out.

Ha, I was going to add "if they even get past Butler" at the end of my post, but didn't want to go back and over saturate the reasons UNC won't win the title lol

Chris Holtmann is a heck of a coach. I've heard him a number of times on the radio. He is about as close to being another Brad Stevens that it's uncanny. Not sure of his thoughts on Butler, but I would imagine there will be a number of schools after him after they are out of the tourney. I know he gets a pretty decent pay check, so if he were to leave, it probably wouldn't be for money (similar to Stevens again).

This Zags-WVU game is super chippy and messy, but still kinda entertaining. A ton of lead changes here towards the end and even more ties.

Jeeeez horrible last possession by WVU.

#2 Carter was selfish and made horrible decisions the last possession.

Just ND's luck isn't it?

Against us, West Virginia could hit a full court shot, spinning in an office chair, blind folded and submerged in water. Against Gonzaga, they couldn't hit an uncontested layup in a fisher price basketball hoop.

Give the Zags some credit for some great D on the last possession. They new Carter was going to take the shot and weren't going to let him have a decent look.

Let's go Zags! My brain says SC but my heart says root for the Catholic school with the Pollack.

Ugh this is hard... I've never been less invested in watching a Catholic school win. Used to love using SC on Road to Glory on ncaa 10.
