I searched and didn't see a thread dedicated to bowling. If this topic is better suited elsewhere please accept my apologies!

Notre Dame is officially bowl eligible and it is time to start planning vacations.

THE Usatoday.com has us in the Fiesta Bowl on December 30th...against THE Ohio State.

ESPN.com has two projections, both sending the Fighting Irish to the Cotton Bowl for a DEC 29th showdown with either Oklahoma or......THE Ohio State.


Week 8 college football bowl projections for 2017

Kiper and McShay have an interesting back and forth on Notre Dame playoff chances and Kiper is big on McGlinchey (sorry Koon)

SI.com is not as high on our chances, as only one of their 4 projections has Notre Dame in a New Year's Six bowl, with a trip to the Cotton Bowl against UCF.

Clemson, OSU, and Auburn will prolly beat us. We may be able to put up a good fight with Auburn but espically OSU will be more of the last two times we met up with them.

You’re right and that sucks...however if we can get them and beat them in a major bowl the biggest thing would be getting that monkey off our backs of not being able to win big bowl games.

Clemson, OSU, and Auburn will prolly beat us. We may be able to put up a good fight with Auburn but espically OSU will be more of the last two times we met up with them.

Why can't we ever have nice things? How about Washington, UCF, Memphis?? Most other big name programs have had a matchup like that in a big bowl in the past 20 years... we are super freakin due.

I think we could do well against OSU. Was at the TCU-OSU game and TCU's running game did awful things to them with their 2nd string RB. It would be a fun matchup.

I'm married to a Sooner and love Kansas football too... I watch a lot of Big 12,... that passing attack would put up all kinds of yards on us month off or no month off I'm sure of it. Doesn't mean we'd lose the game, but they'd move the ball for sure.

all of those trophies and others like it are proudly displayed in each program's trophy room and are used a selling points to recruits. Notre Dame needs that desperately, it's been way too long, and no one will give two shits in a couple years if that big bowl win didn't happen against Ohio State or Alabama.
