Couple unimportant observations:

Chris Clark looks like he's 35.

Every time I see Durham Smythe's name, I read it as 'Durham Style'.

That's cool that the play music during practice. I assume it's because Kelly wants them to practice with distractions?

I remember hearing even back in the day that Holtz used to crank music or noise up over speakers in the indoor facility to simulate game experiences. Also, if they were playing a game in hot temperatures (Like Florida), they would crank the heat up to help simulate the game atmosphere.

I am waiting on CJ Prosise to explode on the scene. That young man could be deadly with the ball in his hands. I would also like to see him return kicks, he has the coat of armor Coach Kelly talks about, he is very shifty and has enough top end speed also. I think if his confidence grows this could be a breakout season for CJ.

Breezy and CRob! Wow! Every receiver and back had good catches in the video. Better hope they just didn't show all the catches!

Hey, an article from Hansen at SBT says that the line is playing short because of injuries. Who? What is the buzz?

Martin, Lombard have been out and Hanratty missed a day or two due to illness. I think Kelly said they were down to eight at some point.

It's not the entire practice. Only the beginning, really.

Speaking of BonJovi, I saw where Jesse tore a ACL out for season.

That sucks, but not surprising. He went down in practice on Friday and it looked really bad. Stayed down for quite a while.Hopefully he recovers well.

Late August - Early January.

The rest of time is just bullshit.

And yet you still clicked and posted on this thread. Must be more than bullshit lol...

Lots of good catches by the receivers, but not much turning of the head by the defenders. I'm not a big fan of the wait till they catch the ball then tackle them defense.

I wasn't dogging this thread or anyone else in this thread. Not my style.

It was a raw expression of enthusiasm for the upcoming football season.

Of course, highlights had me amped.

But if that's your reproach, by all means, do you.

I thought the 'lol' at the end showed I was kidding. Guess not.

I was kidding.

Notre Dame has some really good WRs and if they play to their potential they will be one of the top groups in the country. The corners are a lot better than last year, they are learning being consistent at being physical at the line vs playing 8-10yards off the line in the past. The encouraging thing is that they are picking it up, but they will need more than 1/2 of spring practice to fine tune it.

Practicing daily against a solid WR group certainly doesn't hurt their development.

Should make both units better. I thought our WRs as a unit have struggled with physical coverage in the past and marked some of that up to the 10 yard cushion I was seeing our defense employ.

People talk about competition pushing the players from underneath but sometimes we forget that good competition on the other side of the ball is another great way of developing a player.
