Not a fan of this. Don't make the game bigger than it should be. Totally inflates SC's ego. OU should be a night game, not SC.

Remember when you could watch Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard and the rest of them on ABC? I hate all these channels.

Do we have a home and away with Air Force? I'm assuming they will be one of the teams scratched down the road to make room for ACC opponents if so.

Great another god damn Super Bowl

I agree. Home games in prime time always make me nervous. It's almost as if the team is so uptight and jacked up that they can't just let loose and play. In fact I think BK alluded to this after the 2011 USC game IIRC. Now road games in prime time are another thing. They seem to get up for the challenge much better and just let it rip.

Our guys should be getting the hang of it now though. I understand when it was the first or second time, but this will be the third year with a night game at home mix that in with all the night road games we have been playing and the guys should know the routine.

GITF - Hadn't looked a schedule. Thanks for setting me straight.

There was so much more on the line last time.

That game was considered our "Return to Glory" or whatever...

We had false hope because looking back on it you can see we had nothing established offensively or defensively and that recruiting weekend was far too big for it's own good.. everything backfired.

Look at the team we field now and then realize we still have a top 5 class coming in. And we don't have this

Is Air Force a true road game? Or is it like Navy where they play it at a neutral field but Navy is considered the "home" team?

I guess I'm in the minority when I say I love it. Uck FUSC. Seriously. They have all the talent in the world, but they have a thin roster, a HORRIBLE head coach, and an unknown quantity at QB.

if we can't beat them at home under the lights this year, when can we? And if we want to compete for NC's, then you beat your rivals at home, at night, for EVERYONE to see, like we did against Michigan last year. Hopefully this year though, we'll play and better while getting the W.

If we can't beat USC at home this year, in light of everything going on in both programs, we simply aren't very good. So bring it on Trogans...

I was trying to decide between the Oklahoma and the USC game, but this makes it easy for me. Definitely take the night game atmosphere over the afternoon game's. If our staff can travel to Ireland for a game, I'm pretty sure they can manage a home night game. Not to mention, this is our 3rd straight year with a home night game so it's not foreign to them.

I love it. And not just because it'll be socially acceptable for me to get seriously hammered tailgating literally 8 AM until Kickoff (or whenever I have to get into the stadium now to get halfway decent seats.

USC is, has been, and will likely always be our biggest rival. As an ND fan, I want nothing more than for BK and our boys to shove the ball down Lane Kiffin's throat, as well as any other trojan they can get their hands on. I really, really don't like USC, but I don't respect them enough to expend the energy to hate them.

This is the way it should be. Prime time, national television. Every year. We need to dominate USC, absolutely destroy them and do it on a stage big enough that the entire country will know that ND is back, for good, and they'd better get out of the way. I want to watch my friends and roommate on that team tear USC to pieces with their bare hands.

Plus, we've got demons from the last time this happened to exorcise.

Go get 'em, boys.

Good sir, please tell me where you see four losses. I can barely see three. I realistically can see losses to Oklahoma, Arizona State, Stanford, and Michigan, but I think we will at least 2 out of 4.

If you can't realistically see USC as a loss, then please reference the last decade. This game is never a gimme.

I love this. ND vs USC will always be a Big Stage game, at night in South Bend is huge. We can solidify our ascent and their fall on a platform like this. Logistics are a non-issue IMO.
