It's 20 lbs of extra weight. That will melt away. During camp he will probably lose 10-15 lbs alone. I remember during my old playing days in college it was nothing for me to drop an avg of 12 lbs during camp. He also is stronger than last year so I could see him playing the season around 310 or so and be fine.

This. He's overweight. That doesn't mean he still can't be dominant. Long way to go here.
I get that, not saying he wont get in shape.. Im just saying he's overweight. I said this on the first day of video, and some clown told me it was good weight.. I didn't say anything then, don't want to argue just stating facts.. He'll work it off.. I hope

I have watched a lot of football and I am ready to say I have never seen anyone look like Niklas play offense. Seriously Ishaq did a hell of a job holding his own in that rep. Look at Troy walk by in the Kelly interview...Yikes!

LOL, during that interview I said to myself that the first comment would be about Niklas. Thanks for not disappointing, Irishman! He is definitely a large individual and I was encouraged by Ishaq's reps in yesterday's video.

Jack Nolan is a weatherman who somehow stumbled into a job covering NDFB instead.

I just hope Derrick green and tuitt collide at the big house and cause an earthquake that destroys the structure of the stadium.

I think the NCAA should launch an investigation on Derrick green, personally. Looks like he had way too much illegal contact with Hoke in the off season if you know what I mean.

Reason for optimism this season: Tommy Rees finally hit puberty! You see that facial hair? Championship!

Just saw the practice and related vids today. This team building thing is weird. Most of the players in the backgroumd just don't seem to be that enthusiastic about it. Half of them are on the phone, you see players yawning and the ones doing the interview look bored to say the least. I don't know but personally I don't think the staff will be doing this (at least this activity) again the near future.

He really does look like a tougher, stronger, more athletic player.

The biggest jump I see in players is between years 1 and 2...from a physical perspective.

For QBs, the difference between years 2 and 3 is usually pretty big in the mental / execution part. By that I mean things slow down for them...Even film room braniacs can look bad until things slow down on the field for them.

Based on what I've seen of TR...He was a year or so slow on the physical part, and he looked like some things finally slowed down for him last year as far as execution.

Soooo....

I think he's done "baking" physically, and from an execution perspective.

I don't think situations have ever been too big for him...he has the right demeanor.

We all know he won't threaten anyone with his feet...but he is a threat with reads and quick decisions...

I trust our O-line to establish the run game...

I trust our D to keep us in all games.

"Add" it all up, and I think if everyone executes around him...his "underwhelming mediocrity" could break some backs and hearts. It is his time...I hope he shines.

Tommy ran for a TD! Reminds me of Michael Vick

He is quicker than fast

On a serious note, if Rees is more willing to scramble like that, then he could be more dangerous if the defense drops 8 into coverage like Stanford did against him two years ago.

lol you guys. Tommy doesn't have to run a 4.3. All he has to be able to do is extend plays. He seems more athletic than ever. Very encouraging.

Rees reminds me of a white Usain Bolt.

You been spending too much time moderating the Kool-Aid thread?

I thought that Tommy's face in the interview was priceless. It looked beat to shiit (in a good way!) He looked like a man with a purpose. And his eyes, two dark pools. Like a sharks eyes; that shark he looks right into ya'. Right into your eyes. And, you know, the thing about a shark... he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya', doesn't seem to be living... until he bites ya', and those black eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin'. The ocean turns red, and despite all the poundin' and the hollerin', they all come in and they... rip you to pieces.

Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies. Farewell and adieu to you ladies of Spain. For we've received orders for to sail back to Boston. And so never more shall we see you again.

Tommy has that grittiness of an old salt, sea fairin' man!
