In TJs defense he was ignored a lot last yr by Rees staring down Floyd but when it was throw his way he usually made a great catch on the often, over thrown or thrown behind him ball. I think TJ will do fine and be a very important part of the offense this yr.

totally agree with this...TJ made some nice grabs on balls that were tough catches...Acknowledged that a bunch last year. I also expected him to break out this year.

Can't speak to why he wasn't doing some things in the clips I saw, because he can...we'll see.

Guys that will be catching and running the ball the most:
Wood
Eifert
Theo
GA3
Carlisle
Daniels
Koyack
Niklas

That is a solid group if 8 if you ask me. There are some decent depth players behind them like toma,tj,goodman and some electric youth in Neal,Brown and ferguson.

Our offense is solid if we take care of the ball and commit to the run. Our nickel and dime D is whole other topic and concern however.

I'm being a total sucker, but I'm posting this anyway:

Cierre Wood reference ... or 20th 2013 commit reference? TP, feel free to clear this up at your convenience.

EDIT nvm ... posts in the Cierre thread confirm that this is about Cierre practicing. Good news.

I like where your head is at. I just hope the execution is there, because it's obviously not a lack of talent in that group.

You think the second and third TEs and third and fourth RBs will catch more than TJ Jones and the slot position of Toma/ Neal?

No I think those are our 8 best players to run the ball or catch the ball and that is a solid group.

And I think there will be a Brown in there or something.

What I like about your group Irishman77, is that it fits the way the offense will look, better than a group that features "outside, in."

Alex Welch carted off and Jordan Prestwood leaves team for 'personal reasons'

Interesting

#NotreDame OLB Danny Spond was carted off the field during practice this afternoon. Unclear what the injury is at this time.

#NotreDame HC Brian Kelly -- RB Cameron Roberson will pursue a medical hardship for him because he can't physically perform.

Seems like we are going to have some extra room for a few more recruits with Jordan being gone, Cam going on a medical scholarship, Brad on a medical scholarship. Too bad about Cam as I was hoping he could come back form his injury.

Wow, this next recruiting class could be huge...I feel terrible for guys like Carrico and Roberson. I hope they take that ND degree and show what ND has to offer in life without football.

Wow. What a week. All spring I've been saying that people are exaggerating our lack of depth on the OL, but suddenly we have a real issue there. Then Spond and Welch go down? We only have two DOLBs this year, and we can't afford to lose one. And if Welch is out, moving Niklas back to DOLB would only create a depth issue at TE. Not an awesome situation. Hopefully Danny and Alex turn out to be ok.

Said Lo Wood has been the most pleasant surprise this camp so far. That is exactly the news I wanted to hear.

Just when you think everything is moving along with no hiccups. BOOM first full pad/all-day media = 1 career over, 1 kid leaving team, a stretcher, and a position change.

I certainly hope this slows down for the rest of the camp.

That's okay. I knocked on wood first.
