What makes you think that?

Ha ha, because it's Virginia? I think they have a good unit over there so with a few 7-9 win seasons, Bronco will be offered a bigger position.

They are going to be a tough team this year, I bet they win 8+ which makes them a serious threat but If you can turn around a 2-10 team in the ACC to a 8+ win team, there will be a lot of checkbooks pulled out.

Jonah Monheim just jumped to the top of the list IMO. Crus I think you are right about him being a great RT.

Normally, that seems to be the case with coaches. But Bronco seems to be a different dude. While at BYU, especially that 4 year run of 10+ wins and at top 25 finishes at BYU, he turned down numerous offers to other big name programs, including UCLA before they hired Mora. In fact, he has gone on the record saying that BYU shifting to an independent was a major factor in him looking elsewhere (competitively it was hard to have a measuring stick and that bothered him).

He recently turned down going back to his alma mater to coach. I would be floored if he bolts on UVA in short order.

UVA has been the popular “trap game” or “upset alert” game for the 2019 season.

Smart dude. UCLA athletics has been a dumpster for a while with the purse strings drawn tighter then a schpinter.

Sure. Every coach is loyal until he's not. We'll see when cash starts getting flashed like it's spring break.

if there's one spot i'm never too super worried about missing out on dudes on it's the OL.

we'll find someone to fill in. even if it's late in the game.

And, as long as we get Baker, it's not a huge loss. Back to back OT classes of Kristofic, Carroll, Baker, and TBD is really good regardless of who that TBD ends up being.

Agreed. It makes it far less painful when we've recruited at a high level for multiple classes. If Christ is a Cav, I wish him well (except when he's playing Our Lady's team).

And UVA's schedule before that game is:

at Pittsburgh
William & Mary
Florida State
Old Dominion

They're my pick for a dark horse ranked matchup when they roll into South Bend 4-0 and with something to prove.

Or Noah Nelson.

Who'd a thunk Christ would forsake us and we'd still land a class of Biblical proportions?

The rep button is down there on the left.

I always keep a supply on hand just for you.

He would work too. I like Monheim a lot though. I know I am beating a dead horse, but why not? Michael Carmody is still out there too.

No truth to the report that ND would have given Jimmy the jersey number he wanted but Jenkins vetoed changing the name of the Word of Life mural to TOUCHDOWN CHRIST!

Pronouncing his surname "Crist" so I don't have to cross myself every time I say it.

ND has 13 OLineman returning in the 2020 season.

RS FR Quinn Carroll 6'7'' 285
RS JR Josh Lugg 6'7'' 310
RS JR Aaron Banks 6'6'' 325
RS SR Tommy Kraemer 6'6'' 319
RS SR Liam Eichenberg 6'6'' 305
RS SO John Dirksen 6'5'' 310
RS SO Jarrett Patterson 6'5'' 300
SR Robert Hainsey 6'5'' 300
RS FR John Olmstead 6'5'' 280
RS FR Andrew Kristofic 6'5'' 275
RS SO Cole Mabry 6'5'' 273
RS JR Dillan Gibbons 6'4'' 308
RS FR Zeke Correll 6'3'' 275

To be honest, I'd be fine with Tosh Baker, Peter Skoronski, and Zak Zinter. Then, instead of quickly turning to a plan B and developmental guy, maybe they turn to a Paris Johnson Jr and get to work on flipping him if the season doesn't go well for Ryan Day and co. I'd try to keep the lines of communications open between ND and Turner Corcoran and see if Scott Frost has back to back piss poor years then maybe he wants to look elsewhere. I'd offer 6'6'', shot in the dark, Josh Braun out of Florida and see if there's any way to make up the ground to UF and UGA which is doubtful but worth a check. Do the same thing with Tate Ratledge although I don't even think he'll pick up the phone if it isn't an SEC school. Maybe after that you take a look at a Michael Carmody, Nate Anderson, Noah Nelson, Jonah Monheim or a Jeffrey Persi. I just think that from a numbers perspective, if ND hits on 2 interior guys and Tosh, then they wouldn't need additional bodies so I'd shoot for the top end dudes. There's a loooooong way to go until signing day and I'd love to see ND go in for some flips for maybe a top end OLineman.
