Needing to fix the list in the first place is embarrassing... People need to do their F'ing jobs. Good lord.

The issue is process, it's not that the list is good or bad. The watch list has one set of goals, and there's no real way to reconcile those goals with the second amendment as interpreted in Heller and McDonald.

Good luck with that. Every time a shooting happens the demand for guns increases. They only thing you will get back from a voluntary gun rebate is a bunch of old ass rifles that people don't want/need anymore and would rather just have a gift card to wal mart.

If you are on the list, its for good reason. Its hard to get on the list and if you are there and shouldn't be, there is a way to go about it. It could also mean that someone who has a similar name and DOB is on there.

I 100% agree with this statement. It is amazing to me that every time there is a mass murder the first thing people do is buy more guns but not to by a bullet proff vest.

I problem is not people with CC I fully agree with that, but the main agreement of people for CC is that "if shit hits the fan someone with a CC can stop it before it gets to bad" I did look into this and there ARE a couple examples of people with CC's stopping people but there are WAY more of that not happening.

There was a shooting in ohio recently at a Cracker Barrel where a guy walked into the restaurant with a shotgun and killed 3 if I remember correctly. More people are

Funny enough, this is the first thing that popped into my mind when I was watching President Obama's speech. My chemistry teacher in high school is named John White and would have issues every time he tried to fly because of his very common name. I wonder how often this would affect somebody attempting to purchase a firearm.

Here is a secret list with secret criteria. Even the ACLU doesn't like it. You can't make a hidden naughty list and put people on double super-secret probation and then take away rights and privileges arbitrarily.

Due process is a right. We can't let emotions override our basic freedom.

If someone has done something to be on the naughty list, they shouldn't clear a background check anyways.

The founding fathers were great. They created a brilliant document. They were also men of their own time. They knew that. They allowed for mechanisms to change the document. I'm not making an argument one way or another on this topic, but Che was just arguing that it's okay to make changes to the constitution based on new information. The founding fathers would agree.

They would...through the means they provided to amend the constitution. The only logic that matters is this...amend the constitution, convince people to amend the constitution, fight to amend the constitution, or really, in the most loving grandfatherly voice I can muster...Pound Sand.

It is time to repeal the 2nd Amendment. Let the state and local governments decide what is an "arm" and how to regulate it.

Go get that done through the means provided. I'd be all for it...To pilfer from Ross Perot...I can hear a "Huge Sucking Sound"...only it won't be jobs headed out of the country...it'll be criminals headed to places so progressive as to ban guns...take 'em. I wouldn't live in state or municipality that stupid.

BUUUT promise me you'll keep the crime fighting budget the same in those places...hehehehe. Good luck with that.
