ND needs to secure the OV in June. OU did a great job this weekend with Tyree and Christ.

Hopefully they come back down to earth after leaving campus and realizing Oklahoma is gross. Not as gross as michigan but still gross

Ugh, this one hurts. They do not need another 5-star RB. We're starved for one.

Guessing this is a Loy CB to Sooners?

If so, poor sooners.

Loy hasn't officially changed his CB. I can't read the info, but if I had to guess Lance Taylor was going to visit Tyree today but is no longer going to.

I'm sure some people will disagree but this is one of those situations where I think the staff should have been more aggressive and pushed for a commitment when he was here rather than telling kids don't rush go take other visits. I really don't like this approach. We have done this to a handful of guys already.

We got Fong'd and Loy'd. That's a bad combo.

This is why you can't go on any intel from ND's 247 site. Loy is...Loy and Wiltfong, while a great analyst at the national level, lets his fandom cloud his judgement when it comes to reporting on ND. Case and point, I was a member a few years ago when Jarron Jones was lost in the preseason to a Lisfranc injury. Wilfong proceeded to say that Elijah Taylor, an undersized, true freshman developmental player, was ready to step into a starting role. Needless to say, that turned out to be bullshit. The 247 board is sunshine city.

Damn, I really really wanted Tyree. I was starting to expect him in this class and now the sooners are going to sign 3 4.5-5 star RBs where at least one of them will wash out.

Tyree seems like such a high academic, well-spoken kid, I can't believe he's falling for the skooners.

Pretty wierd considering OU is such a poor academic school, especially for black athletes.

Why would you want to share carries with Jase McClellen and possibly/probably Kendall Milton???

Enjoy your 3 jet sweeps, 2 screen plays and PR/KR duties.

Come to ND and you're in the league in 3. OU... get's his Jordan swag and he's back at VT, MD, NC or PSU in 12-24 months.

1) he hasn’t committed anywhere
2) he’s received 1 OU CB since his visit
3) not even comparable academics
4) Depth Chart
SR 4* Trey Sermon
RS JR 4* Kennedy Brooks
JR 4* TJ Pledger
RS FR 4* Marcus Major
RS FR 3* Rhamondre Stevenson
FR 5* Jase McClellan

vs.

RS SR 3* Tony Jones Jr.
RS JR 3* Jafar Armstrong
RS SO 3* Jahmir Smith
RS SO 3* C’Bo Flemister
SO 4* Kyren Williams

I just hope ND can drag him back to campus one more time and explain the ridiculous benefits of choosing ND over Oklahoma. I know Caleb Kelly didn’t buy those benefits but he’s from Fresno and those kids don’t do ND (that includes Jalen McMillan imo). The depth chart at RB is ridiculously favorable for him to come to ND. Oklahoma has some studs in their backfield and have maybe one of the top 3-4 RB’s in the country in his class!!! Their offense is significantly more exciting to play in than ND’s which is probably what he’s buying but hopefully Chip Long can change that perception this fall. Point is, ND has some serious selling points and I hope they keep going hard after him.

I’m 99% sure Oklahoma just put on the best visit weekend in the country for this cycle. They have like 15 official visitors and laid out the red carpet of all red carpets. They took in a well attended spring game, took a picture on OKC Thunder court, and overall probably had an amazing time. My bet is that the longer this goes with Tyree not heading to Oklahoma, the better for ND. They need to get him back to ND for a red carpet OV and hopefully sooner rather than later. I think the kid got caught up in all the Hollywood and glitz and glam of the visit which is understandable. Gonna be a tough pull but ND should be able to beat Oklahoma for this guy. There’s too many reasons for ND to win this battle.

If ND can get him on campus in early fall for game day atmosphere, I like our chances. That’s a much better selling point than ND’s Spring Game where the weather is always iffy & the stadium is half empty.

Pure speculation on my part, but do RBs (in general) just look at their position and not the big picture as it relates to the offense & more importantly, the OL pedigree? I know OU has Adrian Peterson, Samaje Perine, Joe Mixon to point to but Chris Simms said it best on the Spring Game broadcast: “ND is OL U...what stud RB wouldn’t want to run behind an ND OL?!?” I know OU has solid OL play too & some key returning starters who are AA potential but ND has the proven track record.

Yeah I don't think the sky is falling with this recruitment. Certainly OU did an amazing job and could win his recruitment. But no one has switched their CB's as of yet and I don't think he has cancelled his OV to ND either. I think we can still win this recruitment.

look, we just need to get him on campus the same weekend as Graham Mertz and they'll both commit at the same time
