Another CB from the Temple analyst, Ryan Wallen. Before ya, "Who cares about him?" Historically he's just a half percent behind Wiltfong and 11 points better than Loy.

Does Tyree have a decision date set? If so, and these CBs are rolling in ....... BOINNGGGGG

Most likely a June/July commitment as he'll have taken all his OV's by then. June 21st, I believe, for his ND OV.

He's got a top 11 (Alabama offered after top 10) and I think an unofficial top 3 of ND, Oklahoma, Alabama. Unless he is convinced to schedule an Alabama trip soon then I think this Oklahoma visit will be his last before a decision hopefully. He has an official scheduled to ND in June, but at this point he's visited his unofficial top 3 recently and seen probably everything he's needed to see. I think if Oklahoma makes a huge push then maybe he comes back in June, but if not I think he's hopefully making a decision soon after his April 13th visit.

Notre Dame - FAR - 12/15/18 & 3/23/19 & 6/22/19
Oklahoma - FAR - 2/2/19 & 4/13/19
Alabama - FAR - 3/2/19
Virginia - 1h15m - 2/10/18 & 2/9/19
Virginia Tech - 3h30m - 7/28/18 & 10/6/18
Penn State - 5h - 9/29/18
FSU - FAR - 4/7/18 & 6/16/18
Michigan - FAR - 4/21/18
Miss State - FAR - 3/23/18
Stanford - FAR - 9/8/18
Nebraska - FAR - Never Visited

I'm curious if Fonger had that conversation with him and that's what Tyree told him or if that's just a hunch he's going on?

I think he talks to Tyree for sure, the intel is from him or his dad. I think Wiltfong has had his hands on this recruitment since the start.

I'm excited about landing this kid if for no other reason than that it means Long almost has to start including screens in his offense.

I'm not sure if he thought the O-line wasn't ready to run screens or whatever the reason, but it would be nice to put screens back on the playlist.

Would be a monumental pickup! Would this effect whether Henning ends up Irish, or is he solely lining up at WR? With Johnson at WR, and Tyree at RB, with how well they've already recruited OL and QB, don't look now but they're starting to look Clemson-esque! Lol

It wouldn't change the way ND views Henning. Tyree and Johnson will line up at different positions than Henning. Could it affect Henning? Maybe.

I meant more from Henning's perspective, but I guess obviously nobody knows that. I'd assume it wouldn't effect his decision too much, considering he can be utilized in so many different ways. They'd have quite a haul offensively if they landed both Tyree and Henning to pair with Johnson and arguably the 2 best TEs in the class. Can't remember a recruiting class that loaded on the offensive side of the ball in my time following the Irish (mid-2000's).

Couple that skill on the outside with Baker, Christ, Zinter, Skronski and you've really built something special.

I like where they are with guys like Redding and Murphy to add to that group.

I did ask Matt Freeman (ISD) about what happens to the RB board if they were to land Tyree soon. Cullen Coleman seems to be the direction they'd go in after talking to a few others as well. I don't want to slight a prospect but I would be disappointed if that's the case. There's 4/5 other backs that I like more than Coleman, whom I believe belongs on defense.

Pure speculation on my part but I wonder if this is why they'd take him if they got Tyree this early. Because he has position flex.

Exactly. They don't have to lose anyone for '20 with only TJjr being able to GT out. Plus they have KAR who could move to RB. I'd give Coleman the ok to go offense first until he realizes how much more important athletic DE's are to NFL than RB's.

Maybe. I think they need two backs in this class. Especially a kid like Murphy or Edwards who really want to be a part of this class. Those kids typically succeed in South Bend. Those two kids and a few backs from Ohio are higher on my board (which means nothing) than Coleman.

The part about position flexibility is....... Where? They're so overstocked on linebackers that there's a debate whether they even take one this class. If they're going to take one, it has to be a guy like Simon.

Maybe drop, but again that's a project. Not to mention, there's a kid on campus right now that's going to take that spot.

Doesn’t matter where. He’s one of the best athletes on the entire board, take him and figure it out later. All irrelevant with a 6’3 230lb. ATH who runs a 4.5

An Oklahoma writer put in a CB for OU.

Can't they just take McClellan and Milton and be happy?

We will be by to see him today per ISD.

I'm not to worried here, he seems to love every visit he goes on. Plus we still got one more visit to go in June

ND still has their OV to go and I’ll take ND’s group of CB’s over the OU CB’s right now with that group of insiders. I know OU probably had one of the best visit weekends of the year for any school by having their crazy spring game along with something like 15 official visitors, but I think ND will have a huge weekend in June and hopefully they can convince him to wait until after his June OV to make a decision.
