Visiting again sometime this spring (in between Wednesday, March 20 and Friday, June 21) but it's top secret even though you can do a search and come up with the date... or go to any number of other free sites and find it. As soon as 247 posts it on his timeline, someone will let you know.

247 also has him in his 3 recruits most likely to pop freebie piece along w/ J Johnson and 5*Tosh.

Are you saying Wiltfong is still better with ND related stuff? I wouldn’t say his Nixon cb has made up for his sand bagging for what it seems like a year. He used to be on it, now he’s almost like a 247 hype man and just follows around the big fish. I don’t want to hijack Tyree’s thread though.

No. I think dropping an ND CBi for a RB whose dad is the RB/Co-OC at Baylor is most likely a really dumb move. But if he gets that right... crow will be served at an all I can eat buffet.

Just asking for an opinion, not for inside intel, but what would make him come back so soon when his last visit was just two weeks ago? Maybe to take in a spring practice? I just can’t imagine he’ll see anything, other than a practice, that he didn’t already see earlier. But, hey, I’m not complaining.

Loy's CB is on the heels of visit to Bama yesterday. That has to be good news.

Primary: meet Lance Taylor. Secondary, take in a spring practice (don’t remember if they practiced 12/15 but it’s always beneficial especially to see Taylor in his new element). Also, see ND in maybe, hopefully better than 20° weather. That means his summer OV would make a 3rd visit which would put ND’s chances up there with anyone for his services imo.

This would be sweet. We just need Josh Adams and Dexter Willams to dominate the NFL to get it across the line.

Wish the other 2 schools were just about any B1G or ACC school. If you've got that final 3, you aren't going to ND for the education.
On the other hand, a good job goes out to Coach Taylor and the entire recruiting staff.

I hear ya, it's going to be interesting to follow. Loy is saying ND is the current leader so we'll see if it plays out that way. At least we'll be getting 3 visits prior to his decision.

Wiltfong switched his Penn State CB to foggy, says Alabama, Notre Dame and Oklahoma are the leaders https://247sports.com/college/notre...op247-all-purpose-back-Chris-Tyree-129705489/

This kid has the devil in the form of Saban and Joe Mixon on one shoulder and an angel in the form of Brian Kelly on the other.

We actually need him to turn out to be something.

I like the idea though.

I wouldn't blame Lisa for Brent's struggles lol. I'm sure Lisa Ann could be coached to do things the right way. RKPS

I've never quite bought into that logic. Can a kid not really like Notre Dame because of the elite education but not also really like Alabama because of the elite history of putting running backs into the NFL? I don't see why a kid can't like schools for different reasons. It doesn't necessarily diminish their intentions or make their comments on the impressiveness of ND's education and its impact on their recruitment.

I'd say the logic is just that if you are considering Bama etc you are at least asking yourself the question "does the academic side matter"

Sure. But at least if the answer to that question is "yes," then we're the obvious choice.
Unlike, for instance, a kid who's weighing ND, Stanford and Michigan (I know about Michigan's football player majors, but they do sell recruits on the academics).

Maybe, maybe not. If he has a level head on his shoulders, he's giving serious thought to life after football given ND is in the top three. Having said that, a teenager with a level head is kind of rare. lol

I've paid zero attention to the recruitments of AJ Henning and Chris Tyree.

I just watched both of their sophomore hudl films. I watched Tyree's first, and was very impressed. He has elite speed and takes no time getting there, nor does he lose any when he changes direction. He's a home run.

I have no idea who has better track/40 times, but I then watched AJ Henning's, and I don't think he has Chris Tyree's football speed, but the's still really fast. After the first few highlights I was thinking I'd prefer Tyree, but Henning grew on me. He just has a "football player" vibe to him, plays with passion and energy. And he's still really fast.

Chris Tyree seems like a classic 2010-Oregon player and they don't seem to come her. AJ Henning I don't have a comparison for, but I just really like him as a player. Not sure who I'd prefer. Would be thrilled with either (or both).

Who does ND stand the best shot with?

And how do you guys compare them on your wish list?

Edit: Just viewed their offer list. Chris Tyree is going to be a stud and the big dogs obviously noticed. But Henning doesn't have the same level of offers. Teams are sleeping on him IMO.

At this point Hennings is ours to lose. Tyree is still pretty early in the race but he is visiting us soon.

I'm not sure how comparable they are. Tyree is a running back all the way; Henning seems to fall in the athlete category and could be a hybrid wr/rb.

Who does Notre Dame have a better shot at? I'd say that is definitely Henning. Notre Dame has been on him for a long time. There was a moment in time where OSU seemed to be gaining momentum with him, but they've cooled on him. I think the staff is getting annoyed by Henning for slow playing this.

I really want both players for different reasons. We seem to struggle getting players like Tyree. So getting a guy like him at running back would be awesome. Henning brings a lot of versatility with his game. He's a prototypical slot receiver, but you can motion him into the backfield.

I think Notre Dame could land both. But it'll be more of a dogfight to land Tyree.

All of this is my feeling as well. Crus and I were talking about Henning in the Will Nixon thread. I think ND is also pissed at Henning for slow playing them. They are the biggest team, to stay with him even after his hip injury. I kind of think he wants to go to school with Jadon Thompson, his buddy, but ND has not offered. I like Thompson a lot, but I also like Jordan Johnson and Jalen McMillan better.

I'm confused - OSU is pissed with Henning or ND is? Or both?
