I wonder how Buchner not seeing live action his senior year will adversely affect him? If ND doesn’t seek out a transfer, I hope the competition is wide open and may the best QB win. Buchner enrolling in Spring is an essential first step.

That's my first desire if he continues to play like he did the last two weeks.
If not, open competition between everyone. If Book leaves, I'd hope they'd look at the portal too. I'm higher on Clark than Pyne, but also wouldn't mind a direct hand off to Buchner if he's legit.
The conspiracy theorist in me says the compliments about Clark may be to keep him from looking at the portal himself.
