After the Irish added a quality pair from the Atlanta area in 2018 tight end Tommy Tremble and safety Derrik Allen, in late January, the Irish added Atlanta 2019 cornerback K.J. Wallace – who Hamilton knows well.

“I actually texted KJ (Wallace on Sunday),” Hamilton said. “We talked about how he got (DB) MVP at The Opening (Regional in Tennessee), which is cool.

“We keep in touch all the time. We’re good friends and I’m excited to see what happens when we’re up there together.

“I was hoping to take my official on Sept. 1 to Notre Dame for the Michigan game. So, I think that’s the date I’m going to do it. Me and KJ are hoping to get up there together for that. There will be some other commits too.”

Hopefully the bond that Wallace and Hamilton have will quell any itch for Wallace to take visits elsewhere.

I think that's the plan, considering Ajavon is probably an in-the-box, enforcer-type after a year or two in the weight room.
