Lucky assuming they'd play corner, who do you like better, Irving or Gordon?

The odd thing is Griffith, Irvin and Gordon all played very little to no CB this year. A lot of FS and nickle. If I had to choose between Irvin and Gordon, I'd take Irvin I guess but I don't care which one really. Irvin lined up against better WR's, faced much better QB's, played a lot of nickel at the line of scrimmage and got good coaching at school and at home.

I don't know who is quicker/faster for real but I think the eye test on film says Gordon. I think I read Irvin runs the 100m in sub 11's so he's no slouch. SoCal analysts really like Irvin's cover skills. Neither lack for athleticism.

2 of Irvin, Gordon, Boykin?

Haven't seen a lot of film on Irving playing CB so take that into account. But from what I have seen, Gordon. Quicker feet, better change of direction, exceptional balance. I'd start both at CB, along with Wilkins, Bracy, and Griffith to see who has the brightest future there. Move them back to S as they show that can't play there.

Because I like Gordon at CB more, he's a more valuable piece to this class, IMO. Though Irvin is a really nice talent.

I just watched both film's, granted it was only junior film for Gordon. At CB I like Irvin better, but would be pumped about either. Irvin has size and sticks to every WR in his film, there's no separation due to speed or moves.

I actually liked Gordon more on offense. Reminded me of Bryce Treggs.

I think that's what they're hoping for.

I'll be honest the more I look at those three and DJ Brown's film, the more I like Brown.

More asking for your preference.

Staff seems pretty set on 2 more DB prospects.

Gordon seems most likely at this point.

Boykin visits Maryland this weekend so it will be interesting to see where they sit afterwards.

Irvin information is different depending on who you talk to. Some think USC leads and others think it's a ND/UW battle with USC outside looking in.

I'll say Gordon and they revisit Brown after Boykin stays put with Maryland.

He looks like the most natural corner of anyone we're in on. And jumps routes better than all of them too IMO.

As of today, I think Brown is the best CB of the group. The others probably have more upside due to athletic traits.

What I want is three, 6-1.5 - 4.4 flat - Kalon Gervin's with 32 ACTs. Now that that's out of the way...

After more thought, the smart thing to do is accept that Irvin isn't happening. So I'll take

1. Gordon
2. Taiyon Palmer (Duke Decommit)
3. DJ Brown (UVA Commit)
4. Terrell Smith (Minnesota Commit)
5. Noah Boykin (Maryland Commit)

Will be very happy with Boykin if it ends up:

CB - Bracy
CB - Wilkins
CB - Boykin

S - Griffith
S - Allen
S - Moala

That back end will add a star to any CB.

The more film I watch, the more I see Shawn Crawford clone.

Stout, reacts quickly, keeps is feet under him when changing direction, and plays more physical than he should at his size. If he's straight line faster than Crawford, even better.

He's also much bigger than Crawford

Wiltfong with some insight on where ND/Washington stand. Basically sounds like it's up to Washington to make a big move and he'd be Irish if the decision were today.

When I pass that text through the Irish filter, it comes out as:

Look for Washington to make a big move, ND moving from driver to shotgun to backseat by the new year.

The filter is still al little buggy so let me know if it needs further tweaking.

They have no real chance to make their move... except the OV. Oops.

Nor does Kaho but he just flipped from BYU to Washington on his visit...so I’m nervous.

Should a decision be coming any day now? Or is he not deciding until February?
