Good throw even if busted coverage. He was LOOKING DOWN THE FIELD, which Book struggles with frequently. I’m not saying he’s better, but he looks pretty good. Certainly will have some bumps, but he might be good.

Book couldn’t hit the short open 5 yard passes last week so no guarantee he would have hit that. Phil has not had happy feet either. His throwing motion seems normalish now as well.

If 5 Star Philure was so good, why couldn't he beat out Book as starter? Maybe it was one big conspiracy to start a worse QB cause coaches like risking their careers.

I watched most of the game and after the first drive or two he passed the eye test. Threw downfield and had almost an 18 yard average and not based on a screen pass turned into a long run. I hope we clean his clock but he will be giving 110% and I think that game is on the road fwiw. After some fairly easy plays to start the game Book has become pretty average again. I hope we get to see Clark get some PT and to throw the ball more than 2-3 times.

Dexter wasn't a complete back till his Senior year, and even then he struggled with some pass protection. That carried over to the NFL.

Who did Joe start over? It was Nyles Morgan, wasn't it? Talk about a poor example! Nyles was clearly a better athlete, but he was constantly out of position and couldn't line the defense up correctly. He QB'd one of the worst defenses ND has ever had once Joe graduated. Wow.

It’s COVID. Every player out today but Hamilton and Skoroenek is COVID. Not all have a positive test tho, some of it is mandated contact tracing.
