Real. Deal.

I understand what people are saying about the hitch in his throwing motion, but meh.

Here's Wiltfong's write up on today's ESPN HS games:

http://www.irishenvy.com/forums/notre-dame-football-recruiting/307182-2016-high-school-games.html

Grant Carrigan was actually recruited early by ND when he was the #2 or #3 TE prospect during the '14 season while he attended Bishop Gorman.
His Dad played hoops at Pitt FYI.
He looked like an All American DE on the first series.

ND is in contact with Pine Richland's MLB/H-Back, Tyler King (#44) who just scored on the long TD. Look for that to go public soon.

Especially how he holds the ball. I thought I heard that he is still 16 years old.
He is. He does look real good. I just noticed early on a scramble or 2 he ran with the ball out in his hand then tucked it on the side of the defender. All that can be corrected.

Will someone please block for him? He's getting killed out there on every play.

Definitely got his bell rung on that keeper on the second drive of the second half. Defender hit him right in the back of the helmet, helmet to helmet. Has looked pretty tentative since then until this drive. He looked out of it for awhile there.

And like you said..his o-line is doing him no favors. Hinish and Adams are gonna eat that o-line up when they play.

All that said, playing to a 28-27 loss on the road to Ohio's top division 2x back to back defending champ when you only have 6 returning starters isn't bad.

I didn't think they'd be close. PJ was money till he got what is prolly a concussion on the shot to the back of his head.

Very impressive watching Phil this afternoon.

He picked up the pass rush quickly and is very mobile for a big kid.

His passes were very sharp and he has a great deep ball.

He has a horrible O-line and he still made big plays.

Can't wait to see him suit up for the Blue and Gold!

Thanks for this. It made me smile this morning. I love our potential QB situation for the next 5-6 years.

He had 367 yards passing, completing 17 of 25 passes with 5 touchdowns against Seneca Valley. Also 33 rushing yards. Not bad numbers; though I have no idea the competition quality.
