Well, I'd say I'm surprised if it wasn't his 3rd offense. Would like to have him back, but you're asking for it if this really was his 3rd time.

How is this kid on campus less than a year and already has 3 offenses?

I'm not one to kick a man when he's down, but Austin really let his team down. How you screw up that many times in not even a calendar year is beyond me.

It's a great mystery, going into the vault just like the mystery of Davonte Neal.

We'll never know. Let's just hope he sticks it out and is motivated to be a playmaker next year.

It's *speculation* based on what is known on ND's internal punishment.

A first offense is a warning. A second offense is a suspension. A third offense gets you off the field for a year.

OR, it could be a single offense that is mandated for a year's punishment automatically. But that doesn't jive with the timeline that Austin has been on, dating back to last season.

I think I've been told two or three times in the past what Davonte did, and I still don't remember. I probably have a PM saved somewhere, I think I just don't care :laugh:

I just hope we can have him back for next year. We can start McKinnley in Claypools spot, young and Keys. Hopefully McKinnley gets some more opportunities.

I'm not worried if Austin will be here next year or not, like someone said above Jordan Johnson starts day one even if he doesn't all three Freshman are capable of coming in next year and playing. Jay Brunelle will be better than Finke day 1. Then you got guys like Cam Hart who I believe who will be good whose a Freshman this year.

The reporters I follow were effusive in their praise of his ability. They constantly mentioned how he just moves different than our other players; I take that as a nod to his near-exceptional athleticism.

Put it this way: there is all the reason in the world to bet against him being a starter next year and I'm willing to take anyone on that bet.

I guess I missed where Tyree isn't the most explosive, amazing thing to happen to us?

No italics. We have a lot of weapons coming back on Offense including Book. A RB that can house it on a stretch is game over with our OL right?

I was under the impression Book, Keys, Lenzy, Tyree, Armstrong, Austin, 4/5 OL, Tremble .. they all return right?

Defense should bring back major parts.
