Yeah I was agreeing with you and furthering the point

A safety haul that includes Griffith and Allen is pretty elite. I have my concerns about Griffith off the field, but on the field, he's a stud.

Adding Gordon and Bracy to Wilkins and Boykin would make for a well rounded class.

DB class has come a long way in the last few weeks.

Last two weeks of district/state playoffs:

Dec. 2: 27 car ... 204 yds ... 2 TD

Dec. 9: 36 car ... 310 yds ... 4 TD

Plays next week in the CIF 4-A State Title

This kid can do it all. Pushing 2000 yds on the ground this season, 300+ receiving (had 1000+ last year) and 3 pick 6's - (15 career INT's.) against large school opponents, Milpitas is 3000 students.

Always good to have a Swiss Army Knife or two on the roster.

You never know when you are going to lose a RB commit or a WR commit...

Crusader who did you like better out of Bracy or Boykin? hard to find good film on bracy. I saw a bunch of short, one game at a time film.

This kid has great film. Big time athlete. Great addition.

Coach D on Twitter says to trust hims, 4-star player. Jamie at ISD agrees in a free film eval.

Depends how you look at it. I like Boykin's film, I liked Brown's Sr. film best but Boykin was right behind him. I've been on Boykin, Brown and Taiyon Palmer (who deco'd from Duke 2 weeks ago) for a long time so I'll be happy if Boykin gets into this class.

The down side to Boykin for me is I don't know what his athletic ceiling is. He never tested at the Opening and he doesn't run track. His film shows everything a good CB needs except a burst and speed that catches your eye. To be honest though... It's not as important for a guy with his length - who plays the ball in the air as well as he does - to be a 4.5's kinda prospect.

Comparing him to Wilkins, you have to like his film at CB more than Wilkins. They appear to be similar in physical skillset but Boykin's film is about him being a CB-returner and Wilkins is more of a WR-returner. They both are missing any impressive data from the opening and neither are accomplished track guys. Neither's open field speed jumps off the screen. Once again, at their height it's not as important.

Bracy is different. Where Boykin and Wilkins are your stretch CB's like Watkins, Bracy is your 5-11 CB like Love. The difference is, Love is who he is and never broke 4.7 in testing. Bracy ran a laser 4.56 the summer before his Jr. year... and he's not a track guy, he's just naturally P5 fast. His film mostly shows his TD's and offensive production but he has a TON of defensive production. He'll have a Sr. film in a couple of weeks after the state championships are done. He has 3 Pick 6's so far this year so there's definitely some D film that will make the tape.

So to answer the question of who would I rather have? Bracy. When you throw in 6-2 Wilkins being aboard already then the gap widens. When you add the insurance policy of him being a potential APB / Slot if the need ever arose, it's a no brainer for me.
