Fair enough.

What I did find interesting is that Bracy was a hot pick as the most likely to commit by many. Reading a lot of different things after the visit, I'm not sure where that came from?

His dad was against him going away from home prior to the visit.

Grades are an issue.

I don't think this happens.

Irvin and Gordon and take a shot at the kid committed to Tennessee this weekend.

Oh well, hopefully he can right the ship in time. If not... bummer, but there's always Berkeley for young Mr. Bracy. Reps again.

lol sounds like Burton. Hot pick for ND, needed academic hurdle, met academic hurdle, doesnt pick ND.

Wat? You can divulge the actual premium info, but have to keep the source of the info secret?

That sounds a little backwards...

Figure I can drop a nugget just not go in depth. Personally I think some of the premium, can't say this, can't say that is a little silly.

Irvin, Gordon and Taylor would be a grand slam at CB. Then add Crim to Maola and Allen at safety and that's a helluva recruiting job in the secondary.

Agreed and seems very possible.

Just win baby.

Irvin is supposedly close to making a decision. Gordon is trying to make a return trip to ND on his own dime. If that happens I think we get him for sure. Taylor is pumped about visiting this week and with everything going on at Tennessee we have a good chance to flip him.

Thanks.

First I've heard of him not being a qualifier yet. Would be interested in knowing if it's something difficult to overcome like retaking an ACT that he hasn't been close on or something easy like has to finish Spanish II this fall and next spring.

Reportedly small hurdles.

Very bummed Kevin or Loy didn't have Bracy in their Top 5 to end up Irish list.

Yeah I saw that. Corners still up in the air. Kid needs to get over his fascination with USC

My biz partner just told me he read Bracy is cleared for admission. If that's true... and he's not committing... then me thinks he's on hold or someone close to home is knocking.

I get the feeling that Gordon and DJ Brown will get the first crack at it this weekend and then Bracy is the filler. I guess Irvin would slot in before Bracy too.

I figured if DJ Brown canceled because of Boykin then Bracy was gone too.

Ten minutes after you replied, Wiltfong CB'd him to SDSU.

I read somewhere earlier today that the Aztecs were going to offer his twin brother also. His brother is a 2 star dual threat QB / Athlete. I was hoping ND would offer him a PWO.

A lot of westcoast teams missing on Tariq.

Anyone have an idea of whats going on here? Was he not cleared academically until now, which prompted the ND cb predictions? Is someone like Boykin not committing, so Bracy is gonna get that spot? Or is the staff doing what I would do and taking all of them?

Wilkins, Gordon, Griffith, Boykin, and Bracy would be a really good haul especially when you add them to Allen. I would take all of them because they have to make up for landing zero corners last cycle.

Another reason I would like this group of 5 is because it would be a nice blend of players who could be ready to play right away and players who would benefit from taking a RS year.

Gordon and Griffith: Get these guys ready to play because they have that kind of ability. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there are 3 true freshman contributing in the secondary next Fall.

Wilkins, Griffith, and Bracy: These guys seem to be perfect RS candidates; not because I don't think they'll be good enough, but spending an entire season with Balis and the practice squad could have them primed to emerge on the scene in 2019. Wilkins and Boykin are both 6'2", if they could get their weight up to 190-200 they would be physical freaks in 2019. A big reason I could see Bracy not taking a RS year is if he takes on return duties.

Regardless, secondary recruiting is shaping up real nice leading into the last month and a half

Maybe they will take him as an athlete could play WR, RB? But yeah he would help this team out regardless

It could.

It could also mean that they need defensive backs and are willing to take more than anticipated.

It could simply mean Griffith is being taken purely as a safety. 3 safeties plus 4 corners is very reasonable to bring in.

Right. Defensive backs...

Elko and Lea are clearly not satisfied with the current LB and DB situation, hence the heavy numbers.
