Anyone have an idea of whats going on here? Was he not cleared academically until now, which prompted the ND cb predictions? Is someone like Boykin not committing, so Bracy is gonna get that spot? Or is the staff doing what I would do and taking all of them?
Wilkins, Gordon, Griffith, Boykin, and Bracy would be a really good haul especially when you add them to Allen. I would take all of them because they have to make up for landing zero corners last cycle.
Another reason I would like this group of 5 is because it would be a nice blend of players who could be ready to play right away and players who would benefit from taking a RS year.
Gordon and Griffith: Get these guys ready to play because they have that kind of ability. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there are 3 true freshman contributing in the secondary next Fall.
Wilkins, Griffith, and Bracy: These guys seem to be perfect RS candidates; not because I don't think they'll be good enough, but spending an entire season with Balis and the practice squad could have them primed to emerge on the scene in 2019. Wilkins and Boykin are both 6'2", if they could get their weight up to 190-200 they would be physical freaks in 2019. A big reason I could see Bracy not taking a RS year is if he takes on return duties.
Regardless, secondary recruiting is shaping up real nice leading into the last month and a half
