I just re-watched his film. I know I'm over optimistic and naive about our commits/targets sometimes cause I love ND so much, but this kid is awesome. I'm very surprised he's not a 4 star. A lot of talk about his speed which may not be elite or "burner" type but he's FAST, there's no doubt about it. What I like the most is all his intangibles. He's elite in relation to YAC. He makes guys miss and has an arsenal of quick, effective moves. His route running is great. He comes off the line very well and MAN, what a tenacious blocker. In our offensive scheme with all our screen and "pop" passes, this is crucial especially out of the slot. This kid is a great player, plays ball in great competition. It'd be great to get a WR out of Louisiana. It helps us expand our horizons regarding recruiting the south.

We talked about it somewhere here. I'd be shocked if he didn't silent weeks ago without obviously ever setting foot on campus. That was just a formality. I was hoping he would commit today after Pouncey because that would tell me that ND had at least one more in the bag for tomorrow. If they're holding him off until tomorrow, then three might be all they get. That's ok though. I knew MacCollister and Young were committing and thought there was a good chance at Pouncey, Carter, Brini, Holmes & Wilson from '17 joining along with a so so chance that Stepp and Davis (if offered) from Cathedral joining them from '18 and JT Daniels from '19 a wild card. Young's not leaving SB without committing.

Didn't realize we were anywhere close to picking up Colin Wilson. His sophomore tape is legit, he could end up being a Josh Adams-type steal for us. Also would love to see us land Brini. Still not sure how I feel about Carter.

I hope that we did not hold him off, nor do I believe the staff would've done that with him. He is a baller who far outplays his current rating.

The staff is definitely not holding him back from committing. They are really high on this young man. He's raved about his trip to all parties he's spoken with. It sounds like he wants to let things settle down a bit before making a commitment as he said he wants to make a few more visits and commit at the end of July or early August. I'd be surprised if we didn't land him in the end.

No, I highly doubt that's it. I think he just wants to make his decision on his own time. Probably doesn't want to feel like its a rushed decision or one that's being made in haste. I'd bet he goes home, thinks it over, and commits in the next few weeks.

I know someone on here said he's been retweeting a lot of Texas A&M stuff. He may just not have liked that everyone assumed that he was going to commit last weekend, with one site even reporting that he did in fact commit. Maybe he just wanted to rebuild a bit of suspense before ultimately announcing.
