Keep in mind that he's an FSU fan. With that said I don't think that has anything to do with this. All signs point to FSU.

It should be pointed out again that he's a huge FSU fan. He's paid to be an ND "fan" but he's deep down an FSU guy.

Also, prior to getting hired by BGI, he rather famously in January of '11 he posted that Lynch was 100% good to go to FSU and ready to enroll. And then tacked on praise of "great job by the staff!!"... and Lynch decommitted an hour later and he got super pissy about about it. Obviously enrolled at ND shortly after.

I think Malik would have chose ND if it wasn't for Wimbush everything I have seen he is always wearing ND gear in his games and all over doesn't mean much, but if he liked FSU that much why don't you ever see him wearing that? It sounds highly unlikely we end up with Henry at this point, this feels like Barnett all over again, at least in the subtle info leaking out and the queasy feeling that ensues.

I would've loved to sign Henry so this hurts. We don't get many 5 star prospects considering us so I really wanted one on the board early. Good news is that FSU will likely implode soon given the free reign their program has had in Tallahassee.

Wimbush is already built and looks like he's 4 years older than Henry, has just as strong-if not stronger arm, stronger runner, and is on pace to set the high school record for completion %. What about Henry do you like more than Wimbush? I think Wimbush is a boss.

Yea this will definitely throw a wrench in Wiltfong's top class thesis but it also drastically increased our 2015 class with bringing on Wimbush.

Just to be clear, I'm super excited about Wimbush. I wouldn't trade him for a possibility in the next class. I am simply greedy and want primetime players at all positions, every year.

Do you really think he will unseat Malik Zaire as heir apparent in Malik's senior year? I can't see it personally.

I am totally ok with rolling the dice and not getting a qb to commit midway through their junior season.

At this stage in previous recruiting cycles, ND was looking at guys like Matt Alviti and that Dawkins kid from Jimmy Clausens school. With ND's on the field success and with the way Golson is playing, I am all for waiting this out a bit.

if golson and rees show us anuthing it is: QB has been and always will be the MOST IMPORTANT POSITION ON THE FIELD in college football.

you never cool on talent like malik...no matter who else you plan to bring in or already have.

not ready to concede we've lost this one just yet. lot of time yet. staff little busy since the in season wimbush commit. they will do what they do to try and reel malik back in if its at all possible.

Though both sides have stayed in communication it doesn't seem as though the ND staff is wanting to lock down a QB commit at this time for 2016 and a commitment from Henry would come as a surprise to those inside the Gug.

It's plausible. If our staff was telling him we probably wouldn't take a QB this year, that could have been one of the big factors in his trend toward ND. Then Wimbush flips out of the blue, and Henry feels jilted (despite his public comments otherwise), causing him to trend toward FSU. And if that coincided with our staff legitimately deprioritizing QB recruiting 2016...

Unless the staff got a bad vibe re Henry's chances of sticking through signing day, that last bit still seems remarkably short-sighted (and therefore unrealistic).
