“When I got to Notre Dame, I felt at home,” said Jamabo. “I really felt at home. That’s the best way to describe it. That’s when I realized this was serious for me. I’ve talked to a lot of the players and coaches and I just realize that I could end up there and really be happy for four years.”

Soso to Loy at The Opening.

Recruiting is a hell of a drug.

Makes you pumped to hear this and what Byron Cowart had to say about ND as well.

Just win.

Kids just light up when they talk about Alford.

Good stuff.

Since our bagmen won't pay recruits, can we start dumping cash to keep Alford?

1% kidding.

This. Keeping him happy is vital to long-term success. I love that Alford not only is a great recruiter but also genuinely cares about his players after they get on campus rather than being an Urban Meyer type recruiter that just feeds recruits BS. On twitter, Alford stays in contact with former players as well and seems like an all-around great guy. He is a great ambassador for the university on the recruiting trail and I hope to see him on our sidelines for many years to come.

I will be reasonably surprised if he doesn't end up at ND IMO.

We really need a stud running back this cycle, considering we didn't pick one up last year. This would be huge.

Not a fan of comparing recruits but do you think that if TF has a very good season, SOSO will think harder on ND? Reason behind it is the "fancy" shake moves that TF puts out. Not saying GB can't or won't but if SoSo sees what TF can do behind this young line, he may be inclined to sign the line.

Curious what your thoughts were on the perception of current backs would be to SoSo.

I think the good confident backs aren't afraid of competition on the team or on the other side of the line. He will certainly look at the line, the depth and how all the backs perform. If he hasn't committed during the season, he'll get calls from the coaches asking if he saw what the line and backs did against (fill in the game of the week).

I think we're going to have a very good running game this year. That has to make being a running back at Notre Dame more attractive.

Yep, I'd also add that seeing Alford develop these RB's is helping us in recruiting. Alford is his recruiter and would be his position coach. Just like GB taking notice of Theo and Cierre in 2012

After watching the Opening 7-on-7s, SoSo speed and smooth running style reminds me a lot of Cierre Wood. Seems to have good hands too.
