Bummer. Great kid.
Problem with Vaughn is that he's our biggest corner. Usually, nickel backs are shorter and quick. Not saying Vaughn can't do it, but his physical stature best fits on the boundary and not the slot.
so he has 2 or 3 season of eligibility left?
2019 would be his GS year if he returns. Also a very good chance he'd be awarded a hardship year in 2020 (If he and ND apply for one).

By 2020, he'll be able to do a PhD transfer instead of a grad transfer!
But seriously, he may be able to leave ND with zero debt, 1 undergraduate degree, and 2 graduate degrees if it works out.

Yes!!! Dude just has a knack for making big plays. Really need him next year to help minimize the impact of losing a shutdown DB like Julian Love!
Really hoping Love will choose to come back though

Couldn't he tech apply for a 6th after next year?

He technically would qualify for a 7th year. He’d absolutely qualify for a 6th year due to 3 season ending injuries but could even stay for a 7th. Texas Tech had Tony Morales...
