As long as we're moving the ball and scoring, I suspect the first game we'll see very little of the playbook.

I'll take that with all my Vbucks. He'll be targeted at least 8 times/game and he'll average at least 5 receptions per.

Yards would've been a better line to take, I'd say 600 would be a good line. TDs - o/u 8?

There are plenty of balls available.

Hunter and Stepherson had 63 catches, 5 more than ESB.

The TEs, Finke, Smythe, and Weishar, had 23 and averaged better than 12 YPC. Mack will do better than 12.


With a better running game than last year AND the Mack Attack, defenses are going to have to tighten up leaving ESB in single coverage and a constant big play threat.

Whether or not ASB wants to come to ND, he's gonna love the offense!

That's assuming a similar offensive output to previous years but I think Chip Long adds enough to the equation to disrupt that thinking. I'm not saying we'll be top 5 in offensive production but I wouldn't be surprised to see defenses in a bind. With our offensive line/RBs, you should really commit 8 men in/around the box. Wimbush's arm is strong enough to power the ball down field and we have TEs that can run seams.

With Stepherson and ESB on opposite side of the fields, I could foresee two 1k receivers.

If I were a betting man, and I am, my money is on ESB eclipsing the 1k mark this year and hearing his name called April '18.

It all hinges on Wimbush being able to compose himself under fire. I know he has all of the tools but he can't force throws like he did in the spring game or we can count on 3 losses minimum. I know he was forced to stay in the pocket and not use his feet, which are a huge asset.

I just hope his field vision is good and his composure is great.
