I thought Mike already said he was returning. Did something change?
Yes, he's said repeatedly he's coming back. Don't think Nelson has said one way or another which is interesting given that everyone else has made a declaration.
Or he ran to the bathroom and threw up with nerves
On the latest recruiting Power Hour, Matt or Mike was saying how they think it's POSSIBLE that Q leaves early because of all the AA hype he's getting. Also mentioned how he'd be rated the #1 guard coming out this year and depending on how that fell in the overall picture of the draft, could go a long way in determining whether or not he returns. So we're not out of the woods with that one just yet. They also said, at the end of the day, they think he returns.
The next talented victim who will be ground to a pulp. You guys will be all over his %$# by this time next year.
Lou HoltzAt Notre Dame the fans favorite quarterback is the one NOT playing.
Lou Holtz
Some things never change.

Don't shoot me, because I don't remember where I picked it up, but I thought I had heard Nelson was leaning towards returning. Guards aren't typically first round picks, but Nelson does have the size that gets GM giddy.
Wimbush on the Hesiman watch yet?
Interesting. Hadn't considered that Tommy had opportunities to leave Senior year. Sounds like he could have transferred prior to the Golson suspension, but he decided to stay because he said he wanted to finish what he started and the team meant to much too him. Obviously it worked out well for him anyway since Golson couldn't play, but just another reason Reesus is a Notre Dame Man. Can you imagine if Tommy left and Golson gets suspended? We're probably looking at another 4-8 season in 2013.

So I budged and purchased the ND Insider magazine for the 2017 season yesterday after work. There are some really good articles and write ups in it; I strongly recommend getting one.
Eric Hansen did a long, lengthy story on Brandon and one of the big things in the article is how Brandon approached his redshirt season in 2016. Going from the #2 QB to a redshirt, scout team QB the following year is not very common. For a 19 year old, that would be a great time to transfer. Instead, Wimbush went out to New York for an internship and had dinner with Tom Mendoza. At dinner, he wanted to talk with Mendoza about making sure his redshirt season was positive and worth while and he wanted to talk about leadership and what makes great leaders. At 19 years old, WHO DOES THAT!?
There is so much more in the article, but thats the part of the article that I was impressed the most. With the combination of superb athleticism and being mature beyond his years, we might have a really, really good quarterback. I bought into the the Wimbush hype a long time ago, but after reading that there is no turning back now; I burned the boats and there is no turning back now!
I suspect he's going to be a cool customer when he's under pressure.
He's going to break defenses down by moving around/outside the pocket, and he's going to hit some wide-open monsters (EQ/Alize/Boykin/Claypool) deep down field when he does it.
It's gonna look like Manziel-to-Evans in 2012/2013, but without the douchebaggery.

He's so swaggy. I really think I'm going to put $100 on him for heisman tomorrow.
