If we are calling that a 4.47, then we are saying that he is faster than all of the linebackers at last years combine.

All of whom were at least 25 lbs heavier than Tranquill is now.

Not arguing it's legit, but the fact that significantly bulkier guys didn't run that fast at the combine isn't proof of anything.

Baratti ran a 4.5 laser timed 40 at roughly the same size. This isn't that out there, but I think the reasonable expectation is to add a solid tenth or two onto it. He doesn't run track does he? The entire reason he is a decent prospect is the belief he can bulk up and keep that speed.

How fast do you react to a play? How fast can you change direction? How fast do you accelerate within 15 yards radius? Stuff like that...

How many times during a game do you really run in a straight line anyways?
