Truth is...

If Mustipher doesn't worry about Morgan and gets around the corner to take on Martini, Adams leaves Morgan behind. BUT since Morgan blew up Q, Mustipher makes a bad decision and doesn't get to his assignment. Morgan creates the mayhem and Martini does his job. What's impressive is Morgan still beats Mustipher to get in on the stop. What's sad is Mustipher gets caught in between and gets nothing done. To be fair, Q needs to engage Nyles and neutralize him but still, him getting blown up was the least important aspect of that play if Mustipher continues on with his assignment because the play is past Nyles and Q.

It's just not easy to run the football against good D1 defenders on any particular play. You have to be patient with the run.

At the time I think the staff had to choose between the LB that was overly athletic but run himself out of position every play vs the LB who would be in the right place - just two seconds too late.

Yep. What was Mustipher doing there? Seems like he was trying to hold up Morgan with one hand and just got spun around. Either way, nice by Martini to flow from the weak side over to the ball and stand up Adams.

Morgan had his captaincy stripped for an "internal matter." He was not suspended for the game and is expected to play, just won't be a captain and it appears he won't start.

Of course ESPN has the "Notre Dame's Nyles Morgan stripped of captaincy" article as a top article on their NCAAF section and not an article like "Miles Boykin's one-handed grab wins Notre Dame Citrus Bowl." Not surprised.
