I can only speak for myself my intention wasn't to act as if what I said was fact. That's why I said in my post "I'd love to talk to the coaches." Knowing the other posters fairly well, I don't believe they were either.

However, I do think with understanding the game and taking a few differnt things into account, you can make a reasonably educated decision. But ultimately you are right, I could be completely wrong, just don't think I am ;)

And I wasn't trying to be a jerk or take the "hey, I played ball in college, so I know better" approach.

I was just pointing out that we all jump to conclusions about situations at time, and we aren't in the huddle. Myself included.

Again, doesn't mean we are wrong, but I find it fascinating at what some on here can see (or believe they see) at times.

I like how you conveniently edited out my statement that I hope the kid goes on to have an All American type year......

I'm not bagging on Morgan. In fact, the winning touchdown is all on Tillery. He didn't even have to bring the guy down; but at least get a hand on him and hold him up until pursuit can get there.

But Morgan did make some mistakes out there. Rookie mistakes that he probably SHOULD have made. But they were still mistakes.

But you know what? None of you would have accepted any of these explanations last year for Joe Schmidt. I think you are all racists who didn't like Schmidt simply because he is white!

I am not in the group that thought Zaire cost us the game but I think every player on ND that played messed up or misread something. I mean hell we missed probably 12-15 tackles that Texas gained good yardage after the mistackle. Hunter with the throw kiser and kiser not completely knowing where he was on the field. Blame is shared this game.

This. Totally agree, and am guilty of it too. Wasn't trying to be buttface :)

He is a man. I wish we had 10 other Nyles Morgan on the defensive side of the ball.

I wish we had 5 Nyles Morgan on the offensive line.

It's so sad that two years of his college career was water sitting behind Joe Schmidt.

One of the bright spots tonight.

Before the season Kelly said Morgan is the nastiest player on the team, plays with an attitude.

This program needs more guys like that.

Allen Pinkett is absolutely correct in what type of players ND needs to get.

I 100% agree, the problem is we don't recruit those guys. We have some and the good thing is they're all Sophomores and Freshman. We need guys with a Blue Collar attitude, especially on D.

What criminals? You mean like the ones that get in trouble with the law then kicked off the team? Here we go with this stupid thinking again.

Well he has been on the field about 45% more than any other linebacker in the country.

If the defense is more simplified I expect him and Studstill to benefit the most from it. He'll be a semi-finalist for the Butkus

I would imagine that Hudson probably ripped the defensive playbook into 4 sections and through three of them away.

If it was a for/against argument, I hope he was against. Descartes was the beginning of the end.

Glad to see he's at least having these discussions.

It's hard to win a philosophical debate without a group of judges. The tutor must have quit. ha
