Kelly has faith in the Corners we should be too. I know it is the coaches job to have confidence in is players. but they way he was saying it makes me feel they are better then people think.

Kelly said that he would like to start working on some guys at CB who are here now as opposed to waiting till June. It has been posted somewhere in this place that he is not against making another move if he needs to.

When Neal gets here, if our CB position doesn't look to be improved, he may end up there. For now it is about the guys that are in spring practice. Personally I hope Cam and some others really step up and we get to see Neal do what he does on the O side.

Agree and really that's a good way to look at it. Neal's preferably going to be on offense to utilize his skill set, but if he has to be moved to corner it means the current guys arent getting it 100% done.

I've been told that per Davonte's father, Davonte is participating in speed training for the first time since the off season before his sophomore year.

let him play both ways and special teams....
O one out of every three downs, D on passing downs, and every PR and KR we have
:)....

sorry, nodded off and dreaming there for a minute. Just wish we had 3 of him to go around.

WR Davonte Neal talking to Cardinals' draft pick Michael Floyd, whom he will replace at Nitre Dame. Has been Neal's mentor.

I'm not far from this in reality. Kid is fast, elusive, and has a great base...he just doesn't go down in traffic or first contact which makes for a great O and ST player.

Speed helps us in coverage on passing downs...my one slight on him right now is...he looks a little stiff in the hips...guessing he never had to have technique on D. I guess we'll see.

I will say the speed is too tempting...he is too good to sit, so if D gets him on the field, then put him over there and work on his technique. Move him back over to O full time next year...this year he is "slash". :)

Could also do what Michigan does, where they 'retire' the numbers, but have a tribute to whatever player wore it and had it retired on the current jersey. I think it is a pretty cool way of appreciating the old while allowing the new to pay homage to their favorites of old, while keeping all numbers available.
